Triumph Other description

1970 Triumph T120R Unit 650cc motor. Not running currently as it needs to have 1 piston replaced along with either having the original cylinders honed/sleeved. The problem was caused by too much ignition advance, bad oil changing habits and cheap-o piston rings by the prevoius owner. This is a complete motor, but is without carbs/intakes. The top end was removed, and 1 piston is holed. I always suggest rebuilding these old British twins regardless of running condition unless I know it has been rebuilt fairly recently, or are obviously running fine. When these sit up they still age, and like any other type of maintenance certain categories of parts age as well. Needs new gaskets, o rings, rubber parts, and newer amal carburetors. The twin or single intake can be easily found on-line at eBay. I am allowing for you to rebuild this motor in the price already. This is a fair price, for a Triumph motor of this sort. I want this to go to someone who will use it for either an original, rebuilt/restored Triumph T120R, or, for a cool British bobber! Please, no hustlers. Call Tim or Bob at with any questions, or write me through CraigsList. Thank you.

New Triumph joins the family this Friday

Tue, 23 Mar 2010

With the nights drawing out it feels like an end to what has been a very long winter. I’ve been getting the train to work recently and if you’ve used London’s tube network in rush hour then you’ll know what I mean when I say the words ‘inhuman over crowding’. I had a call from the Triumph factory in Hinckley today and the good news is my new staff bike will be ready for collection on Friday.

Ford Ranger Wildtrak: part one

Sat, 20 Feb 2010

Picked up our Ford Ranger Wildtrak pickup last week. She’s massive, blue and bestowed with a three-litre turbo diesel engine that’s so torquey you can set off in first gear with no throttle at all. Going to be perfect for humping bikes and people and gear around, that’s fo’ sho’.
