Up for sale is my very nice 80 xt500, this is a low mileage bike at only 5,074 miles, all original down to the factory mirror, bike is not new, it does have a couple scratches and a couple of dings in the tank(I have a perfect tank if you want to purchase it separately)I have had 2 knee surgeries and I am getting older than I think I am LOL so it is getting harder to kick these big thumpers over for me,and I just don't ride it any more. The bike speaks for itself,I will hold for 2 weeks, after that it is $20 a day inside secure storage,as in the past people have left bikes in my garage way too long, sorry but that is the way it is.I will accept bank checks, cash or personal checks, but the bike does not leave my garage till payment is cleared, more trouble with other buyers in the past.I have put a tt500 carb on as the original xt's have the accelerator pump type and the tt's are way simplier. It had a issue with the key switch,so I have installed a new one and the old one does go with the bike, just in case someone wants it.A $500 deposit with paypal in 24 hours of the bike selling,as is no warrantys, don't bid if you aren't gonna buy it.bike is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks and someone is going to get a great bike!!

2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Review – First Ride

Fri, 06 Dec 2024

The sportiest modern classic continues to push the performance envelope Photos by Triumph Motorcycles. Selling 20,000 units since its reintroduction in 2019, the Speed Twin had once topped the charts as Triumph’s best selling model before being unseated by the likes of the excellent standard Trident 660, and now the equally impressive TR400 machines. For 2025, the Speed Twin 1200 not only gets enhanced electronics by way of an IMU and slight styling upgrades, but is also now joined by a pointedly sport-focused RS model that ups the ante of what a modern classic is capable of.

More spinning mass for the Tiger’s Triple For the 2024 model year, the US will see only the Tiger 1200 Explorer models hitting dealership floors, while our friends up north will have the Pro models only. In 2025, the whole family will be getting back together in both countries. So, for now, we’ll focus on the Tiger 1200 Explorer models and the slight revisions that Triumph brought us to the beautiful Scottish countryside just outside of Glasgow, to test out.

2024 Triumph Speed 400 & Scrambler 400 X Review – First Ride

Mon, 26 Feb 2024

Two new lightweights that deliver vastly different experiences The folks in Hinckley have been busy in recent years bolstering Triumph’s reputation as a two-wheeled powerhouse of tech and performance. In the past six months or so, however, it’s also been releasing new models across its product line and entering highly competitive segments that are new to the British marque in the modern era. Now, with its new 398cc liquid-cooled, four-valve Single, the company is poised to attack the lightweight/entry-level class.

2024 Triumph Scrambler 1200 Review – First Ride

Minor revisions for the XE with a big step forward in approachability for the X Photos Courtesy of Triumph Motorcycles Triumph is, arguably, the manufacturer who brought scrambler styling back into the limelight nearly 20 years ago now. For many of those years, it was just that, a styling exercise to capitalize on the classic cool that scramblers imbue. It wasn’t until the end of 2018 that Triumph stepped up its scrambler game in a way that truly harkened back to what the desert sleds of yore were used for – scramblin’ off the beaten path.

2024 Triumph Tiger 900 Review – First Ride

Fri, 12 Jan 2024

Upgrades for All Since its launch in 2020, Triumph’s Tiger 900 platform has been impossible to keep out of the middleweight ADV conversation. With 45,000 sold to date, Triumph clearly didn’t need to reinvent the wheel with its 2024 models, but there are a few key revisions across both the Tiger 900 GT and Rally Pro models that really make them shine even brighter on and off road. After arriving in Malaga, Spain, Triumph sat us down for a brief presentation to tell us all about the new updates for 2024.

A significant engine update combined with further chassis refinement Credit: Photos by Gareth Harford, Andrew Northcott, and Chippy Wood For the previous week, I’d anxiously checked the weather reports for updates. Sandwiched in between swaths of little sun icons were two little black clouds spewing raindrops. Naturally, those were the scheduled dates for the US press to ride the 2024 Triumph Street Triple 765 R and RS on the Andalusian backroads and the famed Circuito de Jerez Angel Nieto in southern Spain.
