2013 TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675 "R" WITH COLLISION DAMAGE. Damage: Complete front end, windshield, right fork snapped, right headlamp, fairing, right mirror, brake master, right bar end, right panel, right side rash on engine, foot brake lever bent, right foot peg broken, rear seat missing, left panel scuffed, clutch lever gone, front fender cracked on left side etc. I have one plastic key for this bike. I will update mileage next week when near bike. I know the bike has hardly any miles. Bike is being sold in condition "AS IS!" with a repairable New Jersey salvage title. Triumph Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE Recalled for Throttle Position Sensor Error

Triumph is recalling a combined total of 2,800 units of the Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE due to a problem with the electronic control unit detecting the throttle position. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ECU’s detection threshold is set too tightly and it lacked proper signal filtering, causing it to prematurely detecting a deviation in the throttle butterfly position. The ECU would then activate the ride-by-wire system’s safety shutdown, closing the throttle butterly valve and cutting the fuel and ignition.

Oil On Canvas Originals To Be Auctioned

Bonhams will be auctioning two oil on canvas originals from contemporary motorsports artist Robert Carter, January 9th at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The title piece for this auction (pictured above) measures 48” x 60” and depicts AMA Flat Track star Jim Rice piloting his BSA to victory at the 1970 Santa Rosa Mile. Carter’s second original celebrates the Catalina Grand Prix of 1950’s fame. The oil on canvas piece is 36” x 60”. In addition to these two originals, some of Carter’s Giclee prints will be available.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
