Laguna Seca Added to 2014 AMA Superbike Schedule

AMA Superbike will be racing at Laguna Seca this year after all, with AMA Pro Racing announced the addition of the Monterey, Calif., circuit to its 2014 schedule, joining the World Superbike Championship on July 11-13. Laguna Seca was not included in AMA Pro Racing’s calendar, but its addition now increases the number of rounds in the series to six. That’s still down from the nine rounds held in 2013, but the absence of Laguna Seca and its famed Corkscrew would have been an especially tough loss.

2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. 2012 Triumph Street Triple sighted

Whilst sauntering home from work the other evening, in a double-take I stumbled upon a 2012 Triumph Street Triple, the one with the 675 engine. Thinking that I had discovered a 'scoop' that this bike was being previewed in Islington I hastily took shots on my (un)smart phone - only to find out that the 2012 Street Triple has already been released to the streets of the UK. Peers have described the new slanty lights of the Speed/Street Triple as 'looking a bit mongoloid' but I have to disagree.
