2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. And it's not even a motorcycle. A two-wheeled novelty from Hinckley is an electric bicycle with a range of 145 km. The new two-wheeled Triumph is visually as close as possible to a classic road bike, all electrical equipment - a battery, an electric motor, wiring - is carefully hidden from strangers' eyes in an aluminum frame.

Recall for 2011-2012 Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC for Engine Management Software

Triumph issued a recall for the 2011 and 2012 Tiger 800 and 800XC adventure tourers due to a bug in the engine management software. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Triumph Tigers’ 800cc Triple engine may stall during deceleration. Riders may also notice lower RPMs indicated on the tachometer at idle.
