2003 Triumph Daytona 955i with a little over flawless 13200 miles.
This is a short auction ... I will not be re-listing this deal! Very motivated to sell my 2003 Triumph Daytona 955i project bike. Just need cash for a down payment on a new bike. The project has been mostly cosmetic - it is 95% complete in the conversion to "naked" which included a new Speed Triple radiator with a Cox Racing grille and a seamless conversion of the headlights using OEM support components combined with quality headlight units. The good things: The engine runs better than any other bike I've owned! Billet racing upper fork yoke installed. Quick turn throttle and shorty hand levers. New Speed triple headlight support assembly combined with quality headlight units. New Speed Triple radiator, radiator cowls and Cox racing radiator and oil cooler grilles. The electronics have been adequately upgraded to remedy charging and starting problems very common with this model. The rear tire has under 1000 miles on it. The front might be original, but has plenty of tread. The rear seat cowl is made by Sharkskinz. A CompetitionWerks indicator lights and fender eliminator is installed in the rear. Matching indicator lights are up front. Two Brothers slip-on exhaust. Frame sliders installed up front. Relatively new DID drive chain. The issues: The front brake calipers need rebuilding (which I have the parts for but don't have time to deal with). Front and rear rotors are fine. The fuel tank is badly painted. I am including a replacement tank with stock paint and decal. Needs a pair of bar end mirrors. Buyer is to arrange pickup. I will drive the vehicle up to 50 miles to meet the buyer for pick up once paid in full. More photos available to serious inquirers. Buy in now for $1,655. Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials Set for Aug. 23-28

For six days, August 23–28, 2014, the collective eyes of speed freaks world-wide will be focused on the famed Utah salt flats as constructors and riders race for national and world records at the recently renamed Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials. Continuing the relationship the American Motorcyclist Associationmaintained over the past 10 years during the BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials, the AMA will clock top-speed runs in every class of motorcycle, ranging from 50cc mini-bikes to high-dispacement streamliners.

The show happens to be round the corner from me so event sponsors MCE Insurance kindly sent me some passes so I could have a look around. Apart from the usual trade stands and crazy arena antics one of the highlights was the national lawn mower racing championship.
2012 Triumph Tiger 1050 and 1050SE – New Suspension, Handlebars and Colors
Tue, 27 Sep 2011Triumph announced some updates to its Tiger 1050 and Tiger 1050SE for 2012, though at the moment it appears only the SE version will be offered in the United States. The 2012 Triumph Tiger 1050 and the special edition version receive updated suspension with new damping settings for both the front and the rear as well as a stiffer rear shock. Triumph says the updates will provide a more controlled ride for both riding solo or with a passenger while brake diving is also reduced.
