Triumph Bonneville description

Beautiful 1979 Bonneville Special
Very low miles, only 1362 orginal miles

The T140 Bonneville arrived in 1973, a 750cc adaptation of the 650cc T120 Bonneville. Featuring a five-speed transmission, the 750cc T140 was a direct response to the popularity of 750cc bikes from Honda and the other Japanese manufacturers, which precipitated declining sales of the T120. Between 1973 and 1980, the T140 underwent many running changes, several to accommodate ever-stricter requirements in the United States, and was released in several special editions.
The engine featured revised cylinder heads and new Amal carburetors. Which brings us to this model, which is a T140D Bonneville Special. All Specials were finished in black paint with gold pinstriping and unique badges on the side covers. T140Es featured a grabrail that incorporated a small rack, but the Special had a unique grabrail that didn’t include the rack. The rear caliper is top-mounted on the Special, and those bound for the United States featured black Lester mag wheels and a specially tuned two-into-one exhaust.

Purchased in 2006 for me as a gift from my husband, we had it serviced and ran it around our property but never took it on the road
It kicked over quite easily and ran well
I however have another bike and didn't want to run this one down our gravel drive way, because it's too pristine.
I haven't started the bike in a few years and would suggest having it serviced before doing so.
Stored in a heated garage
If you have any questions please let me know.  I may have the original handbook kicking around.  If I do I will include it.
Please email me if you have any questions annej@libertyclothing.com or call me on my cell phone  416-988-8336.
I have all the importation documents and title but have never licensed the bike in Ontario.

Priced to sell!

Enigma is being designed as a sharp-handling road bike with all-day comfort as one of the key goals.

Isle of Man TT 2014: Monster Supersport TT 1 Results

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

Gary Johnson narrowly beat out Bruce Anstey to take the first of two Supersport races at the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Riding the Daytona 675, Johnson’s win was the first for Triumph since 2003, ironically, with Anstey taking the victory that year in the Junior 600cc class. The race started three hours behind schedule due to fog, but once it began it quickly became a duel between Johnson and Anstey.

Official Triumph Owner's Manual Confirms Speed Twin and Scrambler Name Changes

Mon, 27 Jun 2022

Back in early May, MO broke the news that Triumph is giving the Street Twin and Street Scrambler models new names for 2023, renaming them the Speed Twin 900 and Scrambler 900, respectively. We have now uncovered further evidence of the name changes, plus confirmation that the models are otherwise identical to the 2022 versions. The cover for the 2022 manual for Triumph’s Modern Classics is on the left and the updated 2023 cover is on the right.
