Before there was the LE McQueen Replica, we did this custom bike to look just like the original.THIS BIKE WAS BUILT HERE, AS A TRIBUTE TO THE STEVE MCQUEEN BIKE IN THE "GREAT ESCAPE" AS A NEW BIKE. THE OWNER SPENT OVER $17K IN BUILDING HER, BUT UNFORTUNATLEY HAS HAD HEALTH ISSUES AND HAS DECIDED TO LET US SELL IT FOR HIM. The Bonneville T100 recaptures the classic 60's styling with a wide selection of features. Two-tone paint, spoked wheels, fork gaiters, twin "peashooter" style exhaust silencers, chrome engine covers and black instrument surrounds complete that classic look. While the styling is pure 60's, the engineering is right up to date.
Like all 2009 Bonnevilles, the T100 benefits from the latest incarnation of Triumph's legendary 865 cubic centimeter parallel twin, which is now fuel injected. This bike will not only stop people in their tracks, but with disc brakes front and rear, it will stop you nicely too. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

The new sportbike (we’re calling it the Daytona 250 until Triumph tells us otherwise) is one of two new 250cc single-cylinder models Triumph is designed primarily for India, where Triumph officially started operations this week. There is a very good chance however the Daytona 250 and its naked roadster sibling will be exported to other markets including here in the U.S.
