Triumph Bonneville description
Good day! I am selling my 2001 Bonneville as I do not ride it anymore. This was my first bike, bought in 2009 with about 8K miles on it. It now has around 22K. I still ride every so often to keep it moving. I recently bought my dream bike a little over a year ago (a '14 Street Triple R), and I kept the Bonnie around as a backup. My STR is my daily ride now, so the Bonneville needs a new home.
The paint is in good condition. The original color is red/silver, the black paint is rubberized and can be removed. I wanted a different look that wasn't permanent. It also protects the real paint underneath. If you don't like or get tired of it, it peels off in sheets. It is DuPont's answer to Plastidip. I have done all the performance/work myself: Nissin Big Brake upgrade to the front (from a Euro spec'd honda CB1000R), SS brake lines, IKON progressive springs and 20wt in front/IKON thruxton shocks in back, modded airbox, twin K&N pod filters, 42/138 pilot/jets have more +/- sizes), slides drilled to 2mm/polished, new rubber fuel lines, new NGK leads and plugs, SS/fiberglass clutch cable, new speedo cable, new chain, new lighted rear sprocket, 42 and 43 front sprockets, Bridgestone BT45 tires, and TOR exhaust/cans, and some other odds and ends like tail tidy, lights, signals, et cetera. It had the 12K maintenance done at a Triumph dealer, Nowray in 2012. I have several handle bars, rear fender, rear chrome grab rails, Dart flyscreen, touring screen, LSL rear sets, Triumph tank bag, and brown leather saddle bags that will go with it. Let me know if you have any questions. I know this bike VERY well and can answer knowledgeably. Thanks for looking! Would prefer local pickup. I can deliver within 100ish miles over a weekend. Buyer must arrange for pickup if shipping is desired. Mike |

AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike Riders Gearing Up For Road America
Thu, 29 May 2014The AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike class makes its much-anticipated return to Road America this weekend. The four-mile Wisconsin circuit is a particularly exciting place to watch the middleweight bikes because its long straights and braking zones make passing and lead changes commonplace. More than just a test of man and machine, the races often develop into a strategic battle leading up to the all-important last lap and run up the hill to the checkered flag.

Thu, 12 Jun 2014Even a month-and-a-half out, 23-year-old factory Triumph rider, Shayna Texter, has her eyes on the Sacramento Mile scheduled for July 26, 2014. Although Sacramento is a continent away from her Willow Street, PA home, Texter has the momentum of having won the Pro Singles class events at the Cal Expo for the past two years. For 2014, Texter has stepped up to the premier class, the Grand National Championship, and begins the adjustment from the Pro Singles support class to the big show.
