Triumph Bonneville description

1979 Triumph Bonneville Special 750cc 5speed. Beautiful bike, runs and sounds great, I am the second owner. Original, not restored, just regular maintenance over the years. I recently had the following maintenance done to the bike by Wes Scott Cycles here in Fort Lauderdale;

New Avon tires front and rear.

Front and rear brakes calipers and master cylinders rebuilt, new brake hoses, new brake pads

Carbs rebuilt

New Dunstall style muffler installed, original muffler included

New fork boots and fork seals

New foot peg rubbers

New battery

Many more receipts from the original owner covering regular maintenance over the years...

I have a clean Florida title in my name with the correct low miles listed.

50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.

Vintage Bike Stash Found in Ohio

Mon, 05 Mar 2012

Brim’s Imports is a vintage motorcycle shop disguised as a used car dealership, and chances are you’ve never heard of the place or its proprietor, Tom Brim. If you’re in the market for a rare vintage motorcycle, however, it may behoove you to give Tom or his brother, Ralph, an old fashion phone call. A website does exist, brimsimport.com, but its for searching the inventory of late model car and truck parts — the cash flow supporting Tom’s motorcycle obsession.
