Triumph Bonneville tech info
Triumph Bonneville description
1979 Triumph Bonneville Special T140D I bought this a couple years ago after it sat for a few
years under a tarp in southern After a complete flush, service, carburetor cleaning and a new battery it fired up and ran great. To make it ride able the rear brake master cylinder, drive chain, front wheel bearings and fork tubes were replaced. I rode this all last summer and a few times this spring. It’s a great running and fun to ride bike. I had planned to do more clean-up work on it but there’s a new baby coming so I need the money and won’t have time for it now. It needs some cosmetic clean-up, the engine cases need cleaned and polished and some of the chrome is pitted from sitting so long. It still has the original paint and the factory seat is in great shape. The turn signals are not Lucas, they were replaced with copies, the exhaust is not original and the hand grips are not original. |
