Triumph Bonneville description

LQQK !! NO RESERVE !!

UNRESTORED ORIGINAL 1969 T120R BONNEVILLE SURVIVOR 5586 MILES !! NO RESERVE !! !! YES, NO RESERVE !!

CLEANING HOUSE !!!!!!! NO RESERVE !!!!! HIGH BIDDER WINS !!!!

Over the next couple of months I'm reluctantly going to be liquidating my motorcycle literature, parts, bikes and projects.

Like my previous title says, I'm selling off a ton of stuff at no reserve. I know I'll have sellers remorse on this one but away we go......You will be bidding on my gorgeous 1969 T120R Bonneville. I bought this machine some time ago from a guy that was contemplating making it into a chopper ! Couldn't see that happen so I purchased it and dropped it off at THE BONNEVILLE SHOP in BROOMFIELD, COLORADO 80020. I wanted it to be an ultra reliable rider with its original patina. Everything it needed to achieve this goal has been done.Work performed there by Roger and Gary included new K70 Tires, tubes and rim tapes, new wheel bearings. Oil tank was removed, flushed and new magnetic drain plug fitted. New chain, sprockets, rear shoes, new clutch basket, clutch, primary chain, tensioner and spoke (everything in the primary side with the exception of the engine sprocket is new). Tank cleaned out, new brass British petcocks and seals, new TriCor fuel line.Carbs rebuilt with stay-up floats, viton needles, gaskets and seals. New throttle, brake and clutch cables. Gearbox & crankcases drained and flushed. New shocks. New harness, new points and condensers. New gel battery so no acid spillage. New headers, silencers, clamps and 'L' brackets. Forks were stripped and rebuilt with new Harris tubes, new bushes, new seal holders and seals, progressive springs, new fork boots and taper roller steering head bearings. The list goes on.

The even better part...When I got this bike it still had its original but rotted tires that had great tread left on the front and some on the back. I can't document it but everything works, including the speedometer which makes me think the mileage to be original. If you look at the general condition of the rest of the bike this also supports that. Regardless, it's a spectacular example of an unrestored 1969 Bonnie, with correct horns, seat grab rail and paint. I'd truly like to see this bike go to a collector that WILL NOT REPAINT IT, so with that in mind feel free to contact me through eBay and send your contact information. Matching numbers and clear title.

I have a warehouse full of bikes and I'm facing the reality that I can't ride 40 bikes.......ever ! :(. Local buyers are more than welcome to come and see the bike, send me your contact information through eBay and I'll call you. I'm more than happy to work with overseas buyers but still expect payment within 3days !!

If you're unsure of what it would cost to ship this bike I have worked with a shipper by the name of Cory who moves only motorcycles. He's the best I've ever used. He can be reached at 530-518-9119 for a quote.

PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PICTURES !!! I'VE DONE MY BEST TO GIVE AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION!! :)

For my other auctions CLICK HERE.

Payment must be made in full within 3 days of auction end. Do not bid on this item unless you intend to complete the transaction. As these bikes are also for sale locally, seller reserves the right to cancel auction at anytime and cancel unwanted bids. Make sure you see my other auctions for more great bikes and parts. Once again thanks and good luck bidding. This shouldn't be necessary, unfortunately, it is. If you don't have the money, don't bid. If you can't afford the shipping, don't bid. If you don't like something about the item, don't bid. Really, your bid is a contract - my time is valuable, so is the time of other legitimate bidders - don't bid if you can't, or won't, pay! ALL SALES ARE FINAL. ALL ITEMS SOLD AS IS WITH NO GUARANTEE WRITTEN OR IMPLIED !!

2014 Triumph Thunderbird Commander, Thunderbird LT Models Outted in CARB Documents

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

An executive order released by the California Air Resources Board reveals two new additions to the Triumph Thunderbird cruiser lineup. Joining the base Thunderbird and the Thunderbird Storm (both of which have already received CARB certification for 2014) are two new versions, the Thunderbird LT and the Thunderbird Commander. According to the executive order, both new T-birds will be powered by a 1700cc engine designated as the ETDXC1.70KMM, the same engine family designation assigned to the parallel-twin engine powering the Thunderbird Storm.

Motorcycle Live and a few of my favourite things for 2013

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

There is lots of shiny new metal on show at Motorcyclelive this year but for me it’s the new Triumph Daytona 675 that steals the show.  We’ve been starved of brand new models in the Supersports segment for years but for me the latest Trumpet has made the wait worthwhile. And if its performance matches its looks then I reckon the 2013 bike of the year is a foregone conclusion.  The sleek curvy nose contrasts perfectly with the more pointy angular rear end and new side mounted silencer. It is lighter, more powerful and revs harder with much work on on mass centralisation to further improve handling.  Few of us have a whole lot of spare cash these days but £8899 for the standard model seems a fair price for such an awesome bike. That said I’d have to consider selling the granny and granddad to find the extra £1700 for the 675R.  Available early next year, and surely the perfect all round track day tool, this beauty comes with upgraded suspension, brakes, ABS, a quickshifter and some nice carbon detailing. The white 675R on display at the show looked even better in the flesh than previous images I’d seen so be careful or you might find yourself handing over a deposit. With no money left from the Triumph stand you’ll need your six special numbers to come up for my second favourite show item the AGV Pista GP Project 46. Although road legal this extremely light, full carbon helmet is designed especially for racing with a huge field of vision, extensive ventilation and superb ergonomics. It also comes with earplugs which suggests there may be some compromise in the noise department but it is still an incredible piece of engineering. At £799, this special Pista is also an incredible price but there will only be one hundred available and Raceways Yamaha reckon they are going fast.

The Fonz Never Really Rode a Motorcycle!

Tue, 02 Jun 2009

According to the “King of Cool” himself, “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler) never actually rode any motorcycles during the ten year Happy Days television run.  Winkler, never rode a bike in real life either, he has dyslexia, which made it difficult for him to co-ordinate the clutch, throttle and brake.  Instead, the bikes (Harley Davidson’s, Triumph’s, BSA’s were used) were mounted on a piece of wood with wheels to make it look like he was riding, even though I am not shocked, I am a little disappointed… You can watch the interview with Winkler, the famous motorcycle jump “The Fonz” made over 14 trashcans and a bonus “Jump the Shark” video after the jump.
