Triumph Bonneville description

You are looking at a 1967 Triumph Bonneville T120R. This is a numbers matching bike. She has been sitting in California since the early 1990's. Has newer fork rubbers, and newer front tire and tube. Tank and side covers are still in good shape, minus paint bubbling around the petcock. She is missing the battery tray, and has been rewired with a Sparx battery eliminator, which does work and gives the bike spark but will not power the lights. She is a project bike that I never got around too and I have not tried starting her, I just checked for spark. The engine does kick over and has good compression. I do not know the true nature of the trans or engine. The only paper work that comes with the bike is a California transferable registration that matches the motorcycle. I provided pictures of the paper work in the listing. I am going to let my slideshow and pictures do the talking. But please if you have any questions or concerns, ask before bidding as I will be happy to answer them.  Please check out the 62 picture slideshow I provided in the listing . I am selling this one at a NO RESERVE starting at one dollar, so don't miss out.

This is a NO RESERVE auction. No warranties expressed or implied , and a as is where is sale. Feel free to have the motorcycle inspected if you like.  All sales are final, and there are no refunds or returns, and inspections are recommended. Full payment is do within 7 days after the auction has ended. Buyer must also contact me within 2 days after the auction has ended to set up a time for payment and pickup. Bike must be picked up in Tampa FL. She can sit here for as long as you need,  but the bike will still have to be paid for in full within the 7 days. Please watch the video fully,  look at all of the pictures, including the slideshow and ask all questions before bidding as I will be happy to answer them.  Thank you and happy bidding!

To answer some questions this bike is not a factory all original T120R. It was also brought to my attention that the engine may not be the factory original engine since it has the security Triumph logos stamped on the engine casing, which apparently didn't start till 1969, and may be a re-stamped engine block. Please do your own research before bidding.

Triumph is recalling motorcycles due to problems with electronics

Fri, 07 Nov 2014

America, Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Rocket III Roadster, Rocket III Touring, Scrambler, Speedmaster, Thruxton, Thunderbird, Thunderbird Storm, Tiger 800 and Tiger 800XC will be recalled by the British company. According to the manufacturer, the engine control unit of some motorcycles may malfunction, due to which one of the fuel injectors will inject additional fuel into the engine cylinder. As a result, the engine will either not start or stall during operation due to excessive re-enrichment of the combustible mixture.

Thirty-two years after his death, Steve McQueen still reigns as the coolest movie star to ever ride a motorcycle. One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.

New Stuff: Bridgestone Battlax Racing R10s

Fri, 23 Sep 2011

...stickier than a Weatherspoons floor on a Friday night. Well that’s not exactly an official Bridgestone technical term but no matter which way you look at it the brand new Battlax Racing R10 tyre is a ‘Road legal’ Supersport/Superstock race tyre. It’s used as the control tyre for the Aprillia RRV450 race series.
