Triumph Bonneville description

For Sale:
Really hate to do this but I have been thinking about selling my 1967 Triumph Bonneville Survivor chopper. This is a great bike with a lot of nice details. This bike was built back in 1970, originally came from the Boston area. I am the third owner.

When I obtained the bike, I pulled the motor and had it rebuilt by PT Customs up in Dorr, Michigan. This is a strong running every day riding chopper. The rear fender and frame are molded, vintage wassell tank, paughco springer front end, dog bone risers with z-bars, AEE trident sissy bar, king and queen seat, highway pegs, 16-inch rear and 19-inch spool wheel in the front. No front bake.

This is a real nice 70's survivor, real nice bike, major head turner. It's not for the faint of heart or beginner rider. This bike has a brand new set of Amal 930 carbs on it. I'm in the process of re-spoking the rear wheel and the charging system and ignition were all updated a couple years ago. This bike is ready to ride and have fun on. Thanks for looking feel free to contact at 3307155273 with any questions.

With 12.22 miles of road winding its way to the 14,115-ft. summit, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb can be a daunting and dangerous challenge. Just ask our own Troy Siahaan who competed in last year’s “Race to the Clouds“ and broke his foot after crashing and falling off a 15-foot drop.

Interesting motorcycles you probably didn't see1 of 11Next Last There’s no cave deep, mountain high or rock heavy enough to have thwarted news of Ducati’s 1199 Panigale superbike launch at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. What we’ve comprised below is our list Top 10 Bikes unveiled at EICMA that didn’t receive top billing but are certainly worthy of your attention.

Craig Vetter Grand Marshall for 2012 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

Tue, 22 May 2012

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.
