Triumph Bonneville description

I recently purchased this Triumph Chopper from an Estate and it is a triple numbers matching motorcycle - Engine, Frame, and Title. It has a clear Ohio title in my name and is ready to transfer to the successful bidder. The previous owner bought it in 1976 and built it into a Chopper from Chopper parts that were available in that time period. I did not add or remove anything from this motorcycle since I have owned it and have only cleaned it up. I was told that the previous owner kept it in his house for years and then moved it to the back of his garage where it sat for decades. It has a 1984 License plate on it, so it may have not been running since then. It does turn over and seems to have good compression, and the transmission shifts through all the gears. I do not have a key for it so it will need a new switch and possibly some rewiring before it will run.

I will try to describe it as best I can from the front to the back --- The Springer front end is in excellent condition, but I did not find a name on it anywhere. The front wheel is a 19 inch with a drum brake that appears to be a correct match for the front end. Front fender (unknown), probably Triumph. It has dual Aris triangular shaped headlights that were common on Choppers of the time (chrome is excellent, but top light has a cracked glass). I do not  know the maker of the handlebars or the coffin gas tank. The gas tank has light switches mounted at the bottom near the seat -- see photos. The gas tank is very clean inside and appears to have been stored dry. There are no dents in the tank and it has a spiked gas cap. The original Triumph (Smiths) speedometer is mounted on the cylinder head and is driven by the original Smiths speedometer drive on the rear wheel, It has slash-cut header pipes with no mufflers -- see photos. It has a period correct Posa carburetor and a hexagon oil tank with cut-out for the battery. the rear wheel is a 16 inch "Hog" rim laced to the original Triumph rear hub. The rear brake cable is broken and a new one will need to be installed. The King / Queen seat is by Cheatah Engineering of Santa Ana, California.

I have tried to describe this Chopper as accurately as possible and will gladly answer any questions by email or phone if you would like to call. My phone number is 419-305-6191. I am listing this bike in an auction format with a very reasonable reserve and could probably part it out for more. Please do not ask what the reserve is and do not bid if you cannot complete the transaction. I think the reserve will be met and someone will get an incredible relic from the 70's.
