Triumph Bonneville description

1966 Triumph Bobber.  This motorcycle was meticulously hand built using only original period correct parts from the 60’s.  The bike was purpose built to be a running riding very reliable show bike that has been on the southern California show circuit for the last 10 years. This bike has received first place in every show that it has been entered into.  The motor is a 1966 T120 Thunderbird bottom end with a Bonneville head and 10.5 to one high compression pistons.  All engine components were cleaned and balanced or replaced. The ignition system is an original ARD belt drive system with an original Fairbanks Morris magneto with a custom one off fined belt cover (original Belt Cover Included). The bike is all internally wired with a battery eliminator.  The lights are wired direct to the stator further reducing the need for wiring.  Dual Amal concentric 930’s polished with custom one off finned intake manifolds. Note- the intake manifolds have hidden internal mounting hardware making for a clean bolt free look. Also notice the bike is equipped with dual oil rocker feeds on both sides of the engine for balance and symmetry. Custom one off hand turned velocity stacks. Original finned primary cover.  Custom stainless steel exhaust pipes and exhaust clamps.  When pipes turn a little yellow from riding just re-polish to look new over and over again. Original from the 50’s beehive oil filter fabricated as an oil tank. Front loop of frame is original Triumph with a welded on 4” over hardtail section.  Front forks are 60’s motocross Bombardier making for a polished smooth lower section with clean triple trees.  Appleton spot light fabricated as a headlight. Custom clutch and brake levers. Front wheel is original twin leading shoe Triumph.  Rear wheel is triumph hub and brake system with a  Harley Davidson 16” rim, all stainless steel polished spokes and nipples on both wheels.  Note- the original Halibrand knockoff spinner on the rear wheel.   Original Triumph slim line fuel tank with custom gas filler cap.  Custom side mounted tail light, Custom side/ wheel mount license plate bracket. Floating rear fender. Frame and the red on the wheels are powder coat. Tank and fender are painted with Hotrod Flatz black, pinstriped and then a satin clear finish was applied. This bike is much more impressive in person, bike has been published in the Horse Magazine, Burnout magazine, Free 2 Wheel,  and easy rider. Check out earls bikes . net to see more. This is the first in the series of the Earls Bikes.  New hot rod project is the reason for the sale.

Bonneville from a parallel universe

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

This is the Triumph Speed Twin Concept, a bike commissioned by Triumph to show what the Bonneville might have evolved into, in a parallel universe. I love the concept. Designed by Roy Norton and Tom Kasher who were on a placement at a design studio, I get the impression the pair are into motorcycle and not just designers.

Price William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.
