This 2013 SFV650 Gladius has a 90 degree V-Twin double overhead cam engine. It is liquid cooled, has a chain drive, 6 speed transmission, and a compact open trellis frame. The bike is pretty much stock except for the exhaust slip on. This is a great handling machine and has been flagged as being one of the most capable bikes in it's class. The SV series bike from Suzuki has had a very large following and it has been around for close to 20 years.
Since I took pictures of this bike I have replaced both tires. (could have used a rear only but thought it would be nice to offer up brand new tires both front and rear) Please note that the speedometer glass has a few scratches on it most likely from a key ring with a few keys on it. Also, the exhaust has some discoloring on the header. The two items mentioned are both pictured as not no mislead or misrepresent the bike in any way. Suzuka Eight Hour capers
Mon, 05 Sep 2011Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.
