Suzuki RM description

I have a 1978 Suzuki RM400 for sale. Its in great condition and runs like a beast and is very fast.

The motor has 165ps of compression, it has  new clutch discs, plates, and springs. The seals have all been replaced, new gaskets and stainless bolts used. The carb has been rebuilt with all new jets, needle valve and seat, and all new gaskets and seals. All vent hoses are new, and the fuel line and filter. It also has a new air filter. The chain and sprockets and chain tensioner are all new also. The silencer has also been repacked.

 The swingarm has new bearings and seals, and both chain guides are new. The rear shocks have been gone through and they work like new. The rear wheel has new bearings and new brake shoes. The front forks have been rebuilt and have new seals and fluid. The fork boots are also new. The bearings in the triple tree are new and repacked. The front wheel has new bearings and brake shoes. The handlebars are new with new grips. The kill button is also new. The throttle cable and clutch cable are both new also.

 The front and rear tires, tubes and inner liners are new. Both the tires are IRC, front is 3.00 X 21, and the rear is a 5.10 X 18.

 The frame has been painted. it has all new plastics. It has new decals on the tank and a new gas cap and vent hose. The seat pan is in great condition, and it has a new seat cover.

Its a great bike and looks very nice. It is ready to get on it and ride. Take a good look at the pictures, they pretty much tell it all.

It was good to catch up with my old mate Daryl Beattie last weekend in Misano. Daryl was pushing Mick Doohan hard for the 500cc World Championship in 1995 until he high sided and broke his collar bone in Assen mid way through the year. He eventually finished runner up in the series but then some fairly big tumbles from his Lucky Strike Suzuki in 1996 brought his career to a premature end.

Suzuki MotoGP Team Make Progress In Final European Test At Mugello

A week on from the Suzuki MotoGP  test at the Misano circuit, and the team has wrapped up its final test of the season at Mugello. Here, team riders Randy DePuniet and Nobu Aoki tested a new cowling, an updated chassis, as well as further revisions to the electronics package. The new cowling was reported to give a better top-speed performance without any negative effects under different circuit conditions, so it was an improvement and step-forward from the team’s initial test of it in Misano.
