Suzuki Other description

Up for sale is my low mileage Suzuki GT380 3 cylinder 2 stroke sport bike. I found this bike 4 years ago after it was sitting in the owners basement for nearly 30 years! Having had a bad experience riding and falling down on the bike twice, he decided to park it in the basement corner with just over 1800 miles on it! This Bike retains all its original patina except the following items to freshen it up for ridding fun on the twisties----complete carb/petcock rebuild, new tires, chain, filter and all fluids. This bike is a blast to drive on the back road "toot" of your choice. She's got oil injection so no mixing ever required. Also these were built as a kick start only and she starts easily. The pictures make the bike look almost perfect but shes a real nice looking rider and not a show bike. On the right side of the bike due to the drops there is a scuff on the brake lever and on the lid for the brake master cylinder. The leg mount on that side for the headlight bucket has also been straightened. Also the tank has a small dent under the "suzuki" badge.Other than that she really does show pretty well for a 38 year old machine. Even has the factory "Suzuki" stamped mirrors, no aftermarket. I am also putting a very fair reserve on this machine so who ever buys it will be ready to ride and enjoy as she needs nothing! While its does have a "clear" history, Connecticut does not offer titles to vehicles prior to 1981 so this will come with a copy of my registration and a bill of sale only. Winning bidder will require a $500 deposit to Paypal 24 hours after close of auction, full balance payment in cash on pick up of vehicle or certified funds due within 72 hours of auction close prior to pick up of this vehicle. Sale does not including any arrangement or costs for shipping on the part of the seller as this is full responsibility of winning buyer. Email me with any additional questions. Good luck bidding!

Suzuki Reports 2012-2013 Fiscal Year Results

Fri, 10 May 2013

Suzuki reported an operating loss of 11.9 billion yen (US$117.1 million) from its motorcycle business for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2013. The loss stems from a 10.7% decrease in motorcycles sales and a 9.6% decline in motorcycle revenue from its 2012-2013 fiscal year. According to Suzuki‘s year-end report, motorcycles accounted for 230.3 billion yen in sales revenue, down 254.8 billion yen reported the previous year.

GSX-R600 and CBR250R the glass is half full

Wed, 13 Oct 2010

Suzuki’s GSX-R600 might not look that much different to the outgoing model but I suspect this bike could be very much a dark horse in 2011. I say this because two years ago I was definitely not building my hopes up en route to the K9 GSXR 1000 launch. The leaked pictures suggested the biggest change from the 2007 version would be some fresh graphics but I was so wrong.  As it turned out, I was greeted in Almeria with a brand new bike, built from the tarmac up and it proved to be more than a match in every department for the much hyped 2009 Yamaha R1.

Suzuki to Join MotoGP Test at Catalunya

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Suzuki plans to take part in the mid-June MotoGP test at Spain’s Catalunya circuit. If all goes according to plan, the June 17 test, which follows the sixth round of the 2013 MotoGP season, will mark the first time a Suzuki MotoGP bike has shared the track with the prototypes from rival manufacturers Ducati, Honda and Yamaha since 2011. When Suzuki announced its withdrawal from MotoGP racing in 2011, the Japanese manufacturer said it planned to return for the 2014 season.
