Call 253-460-2749 or 360-621-8667 - In 2002, Suzuki introduced the V-Strom 1000 in a new motorcycle category, the Sport Enduro Tourer. Its running performance and packaging earned worldwide acclaim. In 2003, Suzuki released the V-Strom 650 targeting a wider range of users. This versatile model covers not only daily use such as commuting, but also weekend touring as well. With the addition of an ABS-equipped model in 2006, the V-Strom 650 has always been the best-selling model in its class. To further improve its running performance and riding comfort, Suzuki decided to develop a new model. For 2012, Suzuki is introducing the new and improved V-Strom 650 ABS. The development concept for the 2012 model was The Comfortable Adventure Tourer. While enhancing the proven running performance and in-town versatility of the current model, Suzuki improved the riding comfort even further on the 2012 V-Strom. Its new V-Twin 645 cc engine features improved overall performance in the low-to-mid rpm range and the styling and bodywork design was revamped for better wind protection. 2014 AMA Supercross – Houston Results
Tue, 08 Apr 2014Ryan Villopoto ran mostly unchallenged for his fourth win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, taking advantage of an early spill by Ryan Dungey. The win strengthens Villopoto’s hold on the points lead as the Kawasaki rider seeks his fourth-consecutive championship. Villopoto took the holeshot in the Houston main event and never looked back, leading all 20 laps for the win.
2014 Suzuki V-Strom 650 Recalled for Defective Drive Chain
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Suzuki Motor of America announced a recall on the 2014 V-Strom 650 ABS because of a problem with the drive chain. As of this writing, the recall campaign has not been posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but we expect this to be done shortly. Meanwhile north of the border, a similar recall has been announced for the 2014 Suzuki GSX650FA by Transport Canada describing a similar problem.
New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips
Fri, 01 Mar 2013CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips. Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment. Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions. Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.
