2014 WSBK – Donington Results
Mon, 26 May 2014Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. Suzuki Building Second Factory in India
Mon, 23 Apr 2012Suzuki announced it will construct a new production facility in Gurgaon, India. The new facility, slated to open 2014, will produce models specifically for India, whose two-wheeled market scooped 13 million units in 2011 and likely more this year. Suzuki already has a facility in Gurgaon which opened in 2006, producing the Access and Swish scooters as well as the Sling Shot Plus and the GS150R (pictured above) motorcycles.
Suzuki Reports Q1 2011-2012 Results
Fri, 05 Aug 2011Suzuki’s motorcycle business saw a profit for the first time in 11 quarters despite selling 21.0% fewer motorcycles. In the quarter ended June 30, 2011, Suzuki saw an operating income of 300 million yen (US$3.8 million), compared to a loss of 1.8 billion yen (US$22.9 million) reported in the same quarter of 2010. Suzuki netted 75.4 billion yen (US$961.5 million) in motorcycle sales over the quarter, a year-on-year increase of 8.0% from 69.8 billion yen (US$890.0 million) in 2010.
