Suzuki Other description

First up, please text or call me with any questions. I can be reached at too wun ate 78 oh for 3 ate 5.

Reason for selling: After nearly 20 years of cycling, Amy and I are ready to go the camper route.

This is an adventure touring class DL650A VStrom with antilock brakes. It is fully farkled and completely ready to ride now. No outstanding maintenance issues that I'm aware of. It has been 100% reliable for us. In fact, I recently sold the exact same bike (my 2007 V Strom 650) that I rode 82,000 miles and one leaking fork seal was the extent of the repairs on that bike. If we were departing on a long trip tomorrow I can't think of anything I would need to do to the bike besides new tires (included).

The long list of farkles includes but is probably not limited to: Happy Trails aluminum side panniers, Caribou/Pelican top box, Motec side crash bars and belly skid plate, 2x12v cigarette lighter power ports, Eastern Beaver fuse box, Madstad adjustable windshield bracket, OEM handguards, Motec centerstand, adjustable heated grips, mirror wideners (enhances rear view), ambient temperature gauge, and comes with a spare seat as well as a new set of tires (Metzler Tourance or Continental TKC's, your choice).

It has been meticulously maintained. Valve clearance check and new chain/sprockets at 22k miles. It currently has 24k miles. Uses no oil. Seat height has been lowered 3/4" and it includes the original dog bones to return it to factory height if you choose.

Local pick up only, you should see the bike for yourself before making your purchase. I've priced it below the naked bike book for a quick sale, not because there's anything wrong with it. Cash price, paypal adds 3%.

Thank you, gary tuthill

Motorcyclist Nabbed For Going 166 MPH on NY Thruway

Fri, 04 May 2012

McCarthy’s wit isn’t as quick as his motorcycle. “A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.” (Proverbs 12:23 KJV)   According to reports, New York State Police arrested Nikkolaus McCarthy, 25, of Charlton, N.Y., this past Wednesday afternoon after he was “clocked” riding his motorcycle at 166 mph on the New York State Thruway in Ravena, N.Y. But it seems McCarthy needs to learn the simple concept of avoiding self-incrimination.

Harley’s Ed Krawiec is 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Champ

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec is the 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion. Krawiec clinched the title with a second-round win at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway that eliminated Lucas Oil Buell rider Hector Arana Jr., the only rider in the field with a chance to overtake Krawiec for the championship. Krawiec advanced to the final round and lost to his Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines teammate Andrew Hines, who finished the season third in points. More from Harley-Davidson on Krawiec’s win: “I think this is really a statement on the season, to end it with an all-Harley final and the championship, and with Willie G.

Isle of Man TT 2013: Monster Energy Supersport Race 2 Results

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

The Michael Dunlop Show continues with the 24-year-old Northern Irish racer winning his fourth race of the 2013 Isle of Man TT. His latest triumph was a victory in the second Monster Energy Supersport race, making Dunlop just the third rider to ever record four wins in a single TT week. Like his win in the Royal London 360 Superstock race, Dunlop ran most of the race in second place before setting a blazing final lap time for a come-from-behind win.
