Suzuki Other description

Here is a great  motorcycle with LOTS of extras!  Don't let this one pass you by - there is still alot of time to ride this year!

Here is a 2007 Suzuki VStrom DL1000 in great condition.  It is for sale by the original owner.  The title is clear and it is ready to go.  This bike has been meticulously maintained by a local shop.

The bike is two tone - blue / black.  The gross vehicle weight is 965 lbs.  It is a dual purpose sport/touring bike.  It has 66,228 mainly highway miles on it.  Tires have been recently replaced and have less than 500 miles on them.

This bike features a charger port with a dual port to charge a cell phone or communicator, and also plug in a GPS unit (not included).  There is a removable fleece covered Gel saddle pad included for added comfort.  The genuine Suzuki Hard side bags and trunk are included for storing a couple of helmets and plenty of gear, as well as a magnetic tank bag for small items, maps, cell phones, etc...

The bike has never gone down and is mechanically sound.  Starts right up and runs great.  There is some surface wear due to its age, but the biggest blemish is on one of the side bags where it fell open and scraped the ground.

This beautiful bike is available to be seen by appointment only, prior to the close of the auction.  Serious bidders only.  There is no delivery for this bike, the buyer may pick it up in person or make delivery arrangements.  There are no warranties included with this bike, written or implied.  This bike is for sale in AS-IS, Where-IS condition.

NO REFUNDS or RETURNS for this sale.

Please contact buyer prior to auction close for additional information or questions.

Thank you!

R&G announce cheaper engine case cover kits

Tue, 06 Sep 2011

R&G Racing has reacted to the rising cost of official motorcycle parts from manufacturers by creating money saving packages on its Engine Case Covers. As a reaction to the parts price rise, the crash protection leader has created a kit package on its Engine Case Covers (ECC) – offering an overall saving of more than 10% when compared to buying the items individually. The ECCs are designed to protect the engine cases and the inner workings of the motor in the event of a drop by acting as a sturdy ‘second skin’.By simply bolting over the original items, fitting the durable Engine Case Covers doesn’t require draining any engine fluids or replacing gaskets. Extensively developed in the ACU R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy, as well as being tested and approved by the California Superbike School in the UK and USA, the covers can allow a bike to be ridden after a crash or prevent terminal engine damage from oil leaks or casing punctures.Protection benefits aside, financial savings for riders are evident by looking at official parts prices; to replace only the clutch cover on a Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 would cost £206 including a new gasket, but all three R&G Engine Case Covers for this bike cost only £143.

First Laps of the 2015 Suzuki MotoGP Racer

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

Suzuki put its new prototype race bike through its first test laps alongside other MotoGP racers in preparation for its impending return to racing in the 2015 season. Test rider Nobuatsu Aoki, who had been playing a key role in the racebike’s development, took the new Suzuki 1000cc Inline-Four prototype out for a few shakedown laps before handing things over to Randy de Puniet who completed the bulk of the testing at Spain’s Catalunya circuit. After a day of testing, de Puniet put up the eighth-best lap time, clocking in at 1:42.676, just 0.772 seconds behind Yamaha‘s Jorge Lorenzo who had the top lap time among all participants. It’s important to note however that Repsol Honda and series leader Dani Pedrosa did not participate in this test.
