1982 Suzuki Gsx Katana 1000 Original Unrestoredandamp;#039;andamp;#039; on 2040-motos
Suzuki Other description
Original unrestored bike right down to the original tires. Possibly 1 of the finest examples you may come across. Tires are not weather checked but are still obviously old rubber. The odometer is actual and is apparent by the overall condition. The exhaust is factory . This bike has been stored since approximately 1991. It had been covered as well as having the fuel drained . Prior to initial start up when brought out of storage included an extensive pre-lube process on the engine. Fuel system was inspected and was actually very nice. Storage preparation was done correctly and was obvious. A new Optima gell battery installed. The only visible flaws are a small hair-line crack on the chain guard just ahead of the rear guard mount and slight fraying to the lower edge of the vin tag decal. No distortion to any of the text. All paint , and finishes, etc are all factory original and spotless. These bikes are rare and finding one that has survived to this extent is seldom. ''

AMA Sportbike: 2012 Daytona 200 Results
Tue, 20 Mar 2012The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.
Oh hi there Mobil!
Wed, 07 Mar 2012There was a time when Grand Prix racing was a lucrative affair, with the bikes and their riders resembling the fag packets that sponsored them. However, two unfortunate and costly blows hit the paddock; the banning of tobacco advertising in 2005 followed by the global economic crisis. The off-shoot saw grid numbers drastically dwindle with staple teams, like Kenny Roberts' outfit, and manufacturers, Kawasaki and Suzuki, succumbing to the events and disappearing.
Yoshimura GSX1250FA EEC Approved Slip-On End-Can
Tue, 16 Feb 2010JAPANESE TUNING house Yoshimura has released a series of EEC-approved Slip-On exhausts suitable for the Suzuki Bandit GSF1250SA and the new fully-faired Suzuki GSX1250FA.At over 3kgs lighter than the OE Suzuki item, each Yoshimura Slip-On comes with the pipe work to mount to the standard front section plus all parts (including muffler clamp) required for installation. The EEC-approved silencer features two dB-killer baffles, one in the link pipe, one in the can and when both are removed power and torque are increased over stock, claim Yoshimura. With full EEC silencing both torque and power curves are identical to the standard output, but a dB-Killer in the link-pipe when used with an open exhaust gives solid gains, the company say.Part Number/Sleeve Type/Weight/RRP including VAT1A0-177-5L50 (Stainless Steel) 3.4kg £597.751A0-177-5L80 (Titanium) 3.2kg £666.731A0-177-5L81B (Titan Blue)* 3.2kg £747.191A0-177-5L20 (Metal Magic) 3.4kg £689.72For more information on this or any other Yoshimura product contact 01782 569800 or visit www.phoenixnw.co.uk to find your nearest dealer.
