Been sitting for 10 years, took it home, cleaned all the carbs, new petcock kit, new/used front brake and pads, new starter motor but starter clutch needs work.. Compression 90lbs each cyl. All electrics work, lights, switches, turn signals, brakes, hi lo beam.etc. This starts and runs after a few kicks, Goes like a screaming flash, all carbs running good, need to be synched. Tires are kinda dry rotted. Injector pump work well for the oil. All areas need to be painted Chrome rims are good for age as is the rest of the chrome front fender and rear. or just drive it. NO TITLE bill of sale only. Get title in home state, in Pa takes 1 month and is about $100.00 in fees. Rare bike, very fast and desirable. I have lost interest. Mon, 24 Oct 2011Suzuki is bringing back its V-Strom 1000 for 2012 and adding a new U.S.-only “Adventure” version with luggage. The 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 is unchanged from its previous version, last offered as a 2009 model. It’s powered by the same 996cc liquid cooled, fuel-injected 90-degree V-Twin engine as the previous model.
