Suzuki Other description

I am selling my 1974 Suzuki TS250L Savage that has been restored to pristane condition. I have a clear South Carolina title and I am the second owner. I purchased the bike from the original owner a couple of years ago and the restored it back to the shape it is in now this year. I sent the body work off to Paul Miller motorcycles in CT and it came back absolutley beautiful. I painted the frame with a very high gloss black paint. Most of the rest of the bike was in good shape so I rebuilt the carb to make sure it was clean inside, installed new air boots and filter, replaced all the cables, levers and grips to freshen that up. I pulled the top end and installed a new suzuki piston and ring set.I also installed new sprockets and chain to freshen the final drive to current specs. The bike has a19" front wheel installed for better road use. I do not have the turn signals for the TS. The bike starts right up and runs very well at all road speeds (except 80) and does stop very well for drum brakes. Owners manual, service manual, tool kit and new battery included. This bike is a blast to ride but now I am restoring a 73 TS400K. I like the big bores. NO WARRANTIES IMPLIED OR EXPRESSED.

It was built by the infamous Dave Manning in 1968 using a discarded drop tank from a Korean fighter plane. Manning built a space-frame chassis inside the tiny teardrop and also managed to find room for a Suzuki T500 twin cylinder two-stroke motor.

EICMA 2008: First Impressions

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.
