Suzuki Other description
This is a beautiful example of a 1972 Suzuki T500J.I found this bike on ebay in January ,at the " Hornung Cycle and Power Sports" in Hubbard ,Iowa. When picking up the bike, the owner of the business advised me that he had sold this bike brand neww to the guy I was getting it from. The frame number is #T500-56423 and the engine number is also T500-56423. This is a complete ground-up restoration that was just completed is restored inside and out,and runs great. I have a long list of items that were replaced with NOS original equipment parts. The chrome was also cleaned and the rear fender/mufflers/pipes were rechromed. The brakes, fork, seals, tires, tubes, battery, chain, sprockets, left hand switch, and headlight were replaced. The motor was taken completely apart by my local Suzuki dealer and gone through. New pistons, rings, crank seals, shifter shaft, carb intake boots, carbs rebuilt and tuned. The tank and side covers were professionally painted by "Steve Rhoades Painting"and the frame and parts were powder coated by "Trail Performance in Omaha,NE.The list goes on and will be included with the bike. This bike also has the tool kit and owners manual. I have a lot of time and cash invested in this, but have set my reserve at how much cash I actually have in it. I do a couple of bikes per year to occupy my time, now that Im retired. I have won numerous bike shows over the last few years with them. Please feel free to call me with questions at (402)990-2542 or email me. (*Also- I am currently doing a '72 Suzuki TS400 Apache and am looking for a exhaust tip (stinger) for it.See other items.) Veicle is sold "As-Is" and the buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and costs. I will help on this end as much as possible, but I cannot crate the bike. Thanks. Relisting because of buyer changing his mind.

This is close racing...
Tue, 14 Feb 2012There is an old motorsport adage that rubbin' is racing, well here is a chance to experience that first-hand. The video was shot at an American club race from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Classic Course. The 'incident' was filmed on-board the Suzuki GSX-R600 of Benny Solis Jr.
R&G announce cheaper engine case cover kits
Tue, 06 Sep 2011R&G Racing has reacted to the rising cost of official motorcycle parts from manufacturers by creating money saving packages on its Engine Case Covers. As a reaction to the parts price rise, the crash protection leader has created a kit package on its Engine Case Covers (ECC) – offering an overall saving of more than 10% when compared to buying the items individually. The ECCs are designed to protect the engine cases and the inner workings of the motor in the event of a drop by acting as a sturdy ‘second skin’.By simply bolting over the original items, fitting the durable Engine Case Covers doesn’t require draining any engine fluids or replacing gaskets. Extensively developed in the ACU R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy, as well as being tested and approved by the California Superbike School in the UK and USA, the covers can allow a bike to be ridden after a crash or prevent terminal engine damage from oil leaks or casing punctures.Protection benefits aside, financial savings for riders are evident by looking at official parts prices; to replace only the clutch cover on a Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 would cost £206 including a new gasket, but all three R&G Engine Case Covers for this bike cost only £143.
MotoGP to Re-Visit Rookie Rule
Tue, 19 Jun 2012MotoGP organizers are re-opening discussion for the series’ rookie rule which prevents new riders from entering the series with factory teams. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.
