Suzuki Other description

Up for auction is my original 1963 Suzuki T10 250 twin 2-stroke.  This bike is a true survivor with original paint and only 4101 miles.  Amazing that it stayed preserved all these years.  Bike does have a Michigan title that is NOT in my name.  It is signed off by the person on the title and shows a selling price of $5.00, it has no notary stamp or other markings on the title.  Title shows the bike as a 1965, however that's impossible the t10 was replaced by a t20 in 1965, so that was the year this bike was first titled.

Bike fires right up and the engine sounds very nice with no abnormal piston slap or other noises.  Clutch pulls easily, throttle is smooth and easy to twist.  Clutch operates perfect with no slippage.  Bike shifts perfectly into all 4 gears, and it rides really nice and smooth.  Sounds really good too.  Has a new battery, however it's smaller that what it should have, so the electric start barely works. Battery also needed a small piece of wood added for a tighter fit. (I ordered the incorrect battery)  With a charger hooked up the electric start also works perfectly.  Has a brand new NOS voltage regulator/starter solenoid as well.  All the lights work, headlight high and low, tail/brake light, neutral light.  This model never had turn signals, and it still does not.  There is a broken switch on the left handlebar switch, however I'm not sure what the switch actually controlled.

The paint is original and shines very nicely.  Has the typical light fading, giving it a nice original patina look.  Below the right side cover, the paint was touched in along with a portion of the swingarm at the same area.  Had battery acid staining in those areas. Paint matches fairly well.  chrome is nice and bright, however does have some rust forming under the chrome at areas. Chrome on the wheels is great, spokes have some rust, not heavy though.  Seat cover is new, and I also replaced the foam, foam is not an original mold, I had to cut it myself, so the seat itself is not show quality, but great for a rider.  Gas tank is clean and rust free inside, and has no coating either.  Petcock is a brand new reproduction with new fuel lines, carbs cleaned, and were never gummed up.

The tires look to be original and hold air, however they are dry rotting and should be replaced if you intend to ride the bike on the road.  Has a light oil leak at the left side engine cover, and will drip a drop or two in a few days.  Exhaust pipes also leak some goo where the headpipes meet the mufflers, those too drip a few drops after the bike has been ridden.  Original airbox is for some reason missing.  I added small pod filters that fit perfect.  I am trying to be as honest as possible, to make sure there are no surprises for the high bidder.  This is a great bike, and with a little bit of work will be a great and reliable rider.  I personally have never seen one besides this one, so I'm sure it will be popular at your local biker breakfast.

High bidder to pay $100 deposit through paypal.  Remaining balance to be paid by cash upon pickup or a money order/cashiers check if you are having it shipped.  Please check into shipping before you bid.  Buyer responsible for all shipping arrangements, and it has to be picked up at my house.

Suzuki Reports Q3 2013-2014 Sales Results

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

Suzuki reported a 13.1% decrease in motorcycle sales volume over the first three quarters of its 2013-2014 fiscal year, but still managed a 17.8% increase in net sales from its motorcycle division. That may seem like a paradox, but the results can be explained by a more favorable exchange rate for the Japanese yen and by looking closer at where those sales decreases took place. The yen has turned around significantly over the last year and a half, vastly improving how foreign sales affect Suzuki’s bottom line.

2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000 First Look

Mon, 26 Apr 2021

The new GSX-S1000 gets a facelift and Euro 5 updates The 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000 has undergone a thorough restyling and is said to boast engine changes that deliver more broad range torque in the low- to mid-range where the GSX-S had been criticized in prior tests. These updates also bring the GSX-S up to Euro 5 standards. When we compared the last GSX to its predecessor, it had gained smoothness at the throttle but lost horsepower and torque in the process.
