Suzuki Intruder description

2001 Suzuki Intruder 1400, This bike was originally from CA, but I bought and put most of the miles on it in Tucson, AZ. It's all the way in New York and still running strong and looking great. The bike had straights on it, and has K&N filters in place of the original foam filters. The carbs have been re-jetted for the straights, but I have since replaced the straights with new stock pipes - $1100 worth of replacement. It comes with a removable windshield, and it has Suzuki sidesaddle bag supports. I added a 12V charging port, which comes in great for the phone. All badging was removed, save the rear sissy bar emblem. All CA emissions equipment was removed and ports plugged. New and upgraded disc brake rotors. Rear tire has a couple hundred miles on it, and the front has a couple thousand left on it. Both Metzler. Sissy bar has extension for passenger comfort or for a more secure luggage support. I live near Owego, NY but can transport within a reasonable distance. Exception, I will gladly transport to Philly since I have family there. This bike has been great to me, looks great, and is still great. I have kept it in excellent condition, and it still has thousands of miles left on it. It still rides smooth and I love the power it has for the interstates. Big motor for low money. I'm pretty firm on the price, as I don't like to haggle and considering I'm willing to transport if necessary. This bike is worth it. Max Biaggi loses the plot . . and very nearly his teeth !

Tue, 29 Mar 2011

I’ve just got back from Donington Park and the second round of the World Superbike championship. The racing was exciting, going off without a hitch, and the weather was unseasonably kind, but the meeting will be remembered by those in the fairly close knit WSB paddock for reasons other than the temperature or the race results. It’ll be remembered by most, especially those who witnessed it, as the meeting where Max Biaggi finally lost his already feeble grip on reality.

R&G announce cheaper engine case cover kits

Tue, 06 Sep 2011

R&G Racing has reacted to the rising cost of official motorcycle parts from manufacturers by creating money saving packages on its Engine Case Covers. As a reaction to the parts price rise, the crash protection leader has created a kit package on its Engine Case Covers (ECC) – offering an overall saving of more than 10% when compared to buying the items individually. The ECCs are designed to protect the engine cases and the inner workings of the motor in the event of a drop by acting as a sturdy ‘second skin’.By simply bolting over the original items, fitting the durable Engine Case Covers doesn’t require draining any engine fluids or replacing gaskets. Extensively developed in the ACU R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy, as well as being tested and approved by the California Superbike School in the UK and USA, the covers can allow a bike to be ridden after a crash or prevent terminal engine damage from oil leaks or casing punctures.Protection benefits aside, financial savings for riders are evident by looking at official parts prices; to replace only the clutch cover on a Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 would cost £206 including a new gasket, but all three R&G Engine Case Covers for this bike cost only £143.
