Suzuki Intruder description

2001 Suzuki Intruder 1400, This bike was originally from CA, but I bought and put most of the miles on it in Tucson, AZ. It's all the way in New York and still running strong and looking great. The bike had straights on it, and has K&N filters in place of the original foam filters. The carbs have been re-jetted for the straights, but I have since replaced the straights with new stock pipes - $1100 worth of replacement. It comes with a removable windshield, and it has Suzuki sidesaddle bag supports. I added a 12V charging port, which comes in great for the phone. All badging was removed, save the rear sissy bar emblem. All CA emissions equipment was removed and ports plugged. New and upgraded disc brake rotors. Rear tire has a couple hundred miles on it, and the front has a couple thousand left on it. Both Metzler. Sissy bar has extension for passenger comfort or for a more secure luggage support. I live near Owego, NY but can transport within a reasonable distance. Exception, I will gladly transport to Philly since I have family there. This bike has been great to me, looks great, and is still great. I have kept it in excellent condition, and it still has thousands of miles left on it. It still rides smooth and I love the power it has for the interstates. Big motor for low money. I'm pretty firm on the price, as I don't like to haggle and considering I'm willing to transport if necessary. This bike is worth it. Why I love BSB's Showdown

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

It has lovers, haters and even many that still don't understand it but everyone in British bike racing is currently talking about the BSB Showdown.  With my rider's or team manager's hat on, I wasn't convinced when it was first announced in 2010 but I'm now totally converted and enjoy every part of the season as intensity increases.  And being a value for money Scot the best thing is you get four championships under one umbrella.  Championship # 1; In the early rounds everyone on the grid has aspirations of taking the title but as the season progresses, the focus narrows down to making sure you secure that top six showdown spot over the first nineteen races (riders can also drop their worst two results).  Championship #2; For the confident front runners, over these races, the real goal is the podium credit championship (3 for 1st ,2 for 2nd,1 for 3rd) which then gives them a points head start after things are put back to zero for the final seven race shoot-out.  Championship #3; The best of the rest championship (7th and below) that will be battled over the final races. Championship # 4;  Over the final seven races the British Superbike Champion is crowned. The recent adding and reshuffling a few top name riders for the Showdown has already spiced things up so hold on tight for the remaining five races!

As with most contests of speed, it’s only a matter of time before a record falls. In 2011 Rev. Ray Biddiss’ set a Guinness World Record aboard his Triumph Rocket with hearse sidecar for the fastest motorcycle hearse, with a record speed of 114mph.

Racing vows renewed at Motegi

Mon, 04 Oct 2010

Over the weekend, an aged Japanese racer reacquainted himself with one of his early loves. Celebrating 50 years of Suzuki racing, Mitsuo Ito took his former flame, the RM63, for a trip down memory lane and a lap around the Motegi circuit. The miniscule 50cc race bike was born from the legend of MZ employee Ernst Degner's defection from East Germany to Japan during the early days of the Cold War.
