To acknowledge this important milestone, Suzuki brings GSX-R1000 1 Million Commemorative edition for the 2013 model year. This special equipped production model will be limited to 1,985 units worldwide, taken after 1985, when GSX-R series was introduced and completely redefined the definition of a sport bike. 2014 AMA Supercross – Phoenix Results
Mon, 13 Jan 2014Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto nabbed a hard-earned first victory of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, overcoming a poor start that saw him ninth after the first lap for the win. The three-time reigning champion found himself well back after the first corner as Yoshimura Suzuki‘s Jake Moss took the holeshot ahead of Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton and the KTM‘s Ryan Dungey. Brayton took over the lead by the second corner and would stay in front for the first 13 laps.
Suzuki Reports Q3 2013-2014 Sales Results
Fri, 07 Feb 2014Suzuki reported a 13.1% decrease in motorcycle sales volume over the first three quarters of its 2013-2014 fiscal year, but still managed a 17.8% increase in net sales from its motorcycle division. That may seem like a paradox, but the results can be explained by a more favorable exchange rate for the Japanese yen and by looking closer at where those sales decreases took place. The yen has turned around significantly over the last year and a half, vastly improving how foreign sales affect Suzuki’s bottom line.
