Suzuki GSX-R description

2011 Suzuki Gsx-R 1000, The GSX-R1000 is a motorcycle that has been fine-tuned and developed on racetracks and on asphalt around the world. Its a machine that resolutely defines dominance, having won an incredible seven straight AMA Superbike Championships in a row. With its class-leading engine, chassis and suspension technology, theres no question that the GSX-R1000 is the undisputed superbike of our era. This GSX-R1000 is Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Splash White finish with graphics. I purchased this bike brand new from my local authorized Suzuki dealer and ONLY their certified Suzuki technicians have performed services or upgrades. The bike has been maintained very well, is adult owned, and garaged kept. There are ZERO mechanical problems, dents, dings, scrapes, scratches, and has NEVER been dropped or wrecked. This bike has NEVER been raced at the track or stunted on. The tires have exceptional tread on them, and have never been "burned out". This bike is barely even broken in with ONLY 2,195 miles and ONLY premium unleaded fuel has been used. Additional Upgrades: LoJack alarm/GPS tracking system. Brocks Performance Exhaust- Alien Head Full System - Ultra-light stainless 14" (single sided). K & N High Performance Air Filter. Power Commander V. Suzuki aftermarket carbon fiber gel seat. Suzuki aftermarket double bubble light smoke windscreen with GSX-R logo on the front. Yanashiki aftermarket HID slim ballast hi/lo beam 6000k kit (bright white with a subtle hint of blue). Yanashiki aftermarket fender eliminator kit. Aftermarket GSX-R clear gel hand grips. Aftermarket Orbital tank pad (blue/white). Black frame sliders. Mobile 1 Full Synthetic has been run in this bike since the first oil change. StarTron fuel treatment has been added to the fuel. One of the most important upgrades purchased with the bike was the Suzuki Extended Protection (SEP). Suzukis Extended Protection (SEP) program, an extension warranty program in addition to your standard Suzuki Manufacturers Warranty, covers some parts and labor, gives you towing and rental coverage, and is transferrable from owners. The SEP program does not have any mileage (unlimited) restrictions on new units. $11,299.00

1974: Onboard an MV racer with Phil Read

Fri, 19 Feb 2010

ANOTHER CRACKING BIT of vintage racing footage, this time featuring multiple motorcycle world champion Phil Read on the awesome-sounding MV Agusta 500-4.The footage is from the 1974 movie 'The Iron Horse' made by Frenchman Pierre-William Glenn.Read’s 1974 500cc World Championship victory was the last year a four-stroke won the world title before the advent of the MotoGP class in 2002. Giacomo Agostini won the crown from Yamaha in 1975, followed by Suzuki-mounted Barry Sheene in '76 and '77. The footage is bloody good, considering the camera technology of the day.

MotoGP Teams Complete First Sepang Pre-Season Test

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

Preparations for the 2014 MotoGP Championship are well underway, with the first pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit complete. As the first test of the year, we shouldn’t take too much stock into the results, but they do provide a basis for later comparison. Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on all three days of the Sepang test.

2014 AMA Supercross – Oakland Results

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

With three different racers tasting victory in the first three rounds of the 2014 AMA Supercross Championship, the season was shaping up to be one of the deepest and most competitive fields we’ve seen. But at Round Four at O.o Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., Ryan Villopoto showed why he remains the top dog, leading each lap for his second win of the season. The Kawasaki rider only trailed at the very start of the race, as Honda rider Vince Friese took the holeshot with Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton slotting in second through the first corner.
