I have a 2008 GSXR-1000 for sale. It's a great bike and in great condition!! I have a female small red Joe Rocket jacket, mens large Tourmaster jacket, a HJC matte black helmet, and a MotoCentric seasonal cover that comes with the bike (all pictured above). All the maintenance on it has been done regularly. I just got the oil changed, put brand new front and back tires on it, new battery, and new front brake pads. I have receipts for everything. McGuinness is second on the all-time Isle of Man TT wins list behind the late Joey Dunlop who has 26. McGuinness was aided by two very quick and efficient pit stops by his crew.
2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000 – Gixxer Thou Updated with a Focus on Weight Savings
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Suzuki has updated its GSX-R1000 sportbike for 2012 with Brembo monobloc calipers and a new single-pipe exhaust system. Last updated in 2009, the 2012 Suzuki GSX-R1000 also receives a number of updates to the the engine to the wiring harness to even the front tire to to reduce overall weight by 4.4 pounds. The new GSX-R has a claimed curb weight of 447.5 pounds.
Suzuki Confirms MotoGP Departure – Hope of 2014 Return
Fri, 18 Nov 2011As expected, Suzuki has officially announced its withdrawal from MotoGP racing, though the Japanese manufacturer says it plans to return to the world championship in 2014. Suzuki cites the recession, the value of the Japanese Yen and a series of natural disasters as reasons for suspending its MotoGP program for at least two years. Reports of Suzuki’s withdrawal began circulating earlier this week with some staff members reportedly receiving notice late last week, but signs of Suzuki’s impending withdrawal have been around for over a year.
