The last true superbike, the GSXR 1000 K6 - look it up, the next year around 14 lbs of weight was added due to new emissions regs, this is the last of the truly feather weights but with tons of power! Bike is stock with only exceptions being a TRE mod and K&N air filter. Just changed oil/filter about 3 months ago (full synthetic amsoil/k&n filter), bike always garaged or inside my house. Only one minor flaw, about a 1" crack on right side fairing (not dropped, something bumped it). Own the last true Superbike and it's ready to make mods of your own to bring even more out of it! Motorcycle So Big It Needs Training Wheels
Tue, 21 May 2013Apparently, the American motto of “bigger is better” has struck a chord with someone in China, of all places. This giant beast of a motorcycle measures over 14 feet long and almost eight feet tall, and was built by a Chinese sewage plant worker in his spare time. The motorcycle is so big, it needs outriggers to make sure it doesn’t tip over.
WSBK 2013: Aragon Race Report
Mon, 15 Apr 2013BMW Motorrad Goldbet racer Chaz Davies scored his first career World Superbike double victory, taking both races at Spain’s Aragon circuit. The wins were the second and third of Davies’ WSBK career (the first came last year at Nurburgring for the ParkinGo Aprilia team) and the second ever double in the series for BMW. The Welsh rider and former AMA Pro Racing competitor has had some success at Aragon, getting his first career WSBK podium at the Spanish track in 2012.
