The GSX-R1000 is sharply styled and its fairing houses multi-reflector, vertically mounted headlights for a narrow profile, improved aerodynamics and highly effective ram air system. This narrow theme is carried throughout the machine with the slim tank and sleek tail section. The GSX-R gauge features a white-faced stepping motor analog tachometer, digital LCD speedometer, odometer/tripmeter, clock and water temperature readouts. LEDs are also used for the turn signal, high beam, neutral and fuel level indicators. MotoGP Teams Complete First Sepang Pre-Season Test
Thu, 06 Feb 2014Preparations for the 2014 MotoGP Championship are well underway, with the first pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit complete. As the first test of the year, we shouldn’t take too much stock into the results, but they do provide a basis for later comparison. Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on all three days of the Sepang test.
New AMA Pro SuperBike Final Qualifying Procedure To Be Implemented At Road America
Tue, 20 May 2014AMA Pro Racing is taking a page out of the playbook of the top racing series’ in the world and changing the qualifying format for AMA Pro SuperBike and breaking it up into three stages. This new format will debut later this month when AMA Pro Road Racing takes to the 4.05-mile track at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis., for the Subway SuperBike Doubleheader on May 30 – June 1, 2014. All AMA Pro SuperBike competitors will participate in Qualifying 1 and 2.
2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 and V-Strom 1050DE First Look
Tue, 06 Sep 2022V-Strom 1050XT gets replaced by a more capable off-road variant Suzuki announced updates for the V-Strom 1050, as well as a new off-road oriented version for 2023. The new 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE replaces the 1050XT model, and adds new features to make it a more capable off-road machine such as a 21-inch front wheel, longer-stroke suspension, and a larger aluminum bash plate. Both models remain powered by a 1037cc V-Twin engine, but for 2023, Suzuki introduced new hollow sodium-filled exhaust valves, claiming reduced temperature in the combustion chamber, and thus improved efficiency and durability.
