Suzuki GSX-R description
I have up for sale a 1996 GSXR 1100w that underwent a mild restoration. I sourced as many factory parts as possible. All the plastics have been professionally repainted in gloss white. I was having a custom livery kit made for it but I decided I liked the clean look of the white more and more. The bike currently has approx. 5400miles on it, but is still occasionally ridden. I have a clean title registered in my name. The following is a list of everything that has been done in the last 300miles:
-New bulbs all the way around. LED conversion on the instrument cluster. -New custom braided brake and clutch lines and fresh fluid. Slave cylinder disassembled and cleaned. -New bullet connectors, wiring cleaned up, integrated tails/turn signals.. -New bar ends -All 4 Carburetors fully stripped, dipped, cleaned, new viton seals, re-jetted to 125mains with genuine Mikuni brass and reassembled. No junk kits or crap hardware used. This would be a $600 job at any competent shop. -Boots pulled and new head orings installed. -New plugs -Charging system tested -Cooling system flushed twice, new aluminum Muzzy fan installed(impossible to find) -All new rubber fuel lines, mounts, grommets etc. -All new mounting hardware - Period correct Yoshi race 4-1 header and can. (has some rash, not perfect but no holes or rust and its a super hard to find part) -Oil pan dropped, screen cleaned, and new OEM Suzuki gasket installed, oil and filter - New rear shock assembly from 2008 GSXR 1000. Huge improvement over stock. I am sure I am forgetting a bunch of stuff. It has been a labor of love. It is not perfect but you would be hard pressed to find a nicer one outside of an original collector piece that would need everything "original" replaced if you wanted to ride it. This was put together with the intention of being used. Most of these were all blown up, stretched out, and drag raced back in the day. I would say that it is a solid 8.5/10. The tires have good tread but are old. Unfortunately, my body just can't handle a super sport, plus it is really too much bike for me. $500 non-refundable paypal deposit due within 24hrs of auction end. For full asking price I will include a matching factory rear cowl and new upholstered seats. |

Another Cruiser?
Sun, 09 Nov 2008In a county gone mad with cruisers, from outrageous T.V. customs to 250cc Honda Rebels, the cruiser is the largest segment of the American motorcycle market. Interesting then, that despite a seeming glut in the cruiser supply, and receding sales figures from major OEMs in the past year, that new cruiser models keep coming.
MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season
Tue, 18 Mar 2014MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.
Suzuki GW250 Inazuma Reportedly Coming to Canada
Tue, 30 Oct 2012The Suzuki Inazuma is coming to Canada, according to multiple reports. The entry-level motorcycle was displayed at a recent dealer meeting in Mont Tremblant, Quebec, though it appears Canadians may have to wait as bit longer for the Inazuma to arrive in showrooms. According to Canadian sites CMGOnline and MotorcycleMojo, Suzuki is in the initial stages of introducing the 248cc streetbike to Canada, so a 2014 launch may be more likely than 2013 availability.
