Suzuki GSX-R description

This bike was used in a photo shoot at Daytona International Speedway!! Yes those photos were taken three weeks ago! And no, pretty woman NOT included.

This is a 1989 Suzuki GSXR 750 with 6.5k miles on it. It is red and white and has very few modifications to it - the exhaust was changed (I have half of the original exhaust to go with it), the license plate light was removed, the rubber grips replaced, the turn signals were replaced (I have the stock signals to go with it), aftermarket air cleaners (I have the original airbox and all the parts to go with it). That's it! Other than that it is a stock machine and could easily be returned to full stock if you wish!

I am the second owner. The original owner stopped riding in 1991 and it sat in a garage until recently. It is in good condition. There are scratches on the lower left fairing where the bike has fallen over (which was quite common on these due to the small kick stand). A small piece of the bottom fairing is cracked off underneath the bike (it cant be seen unless you actually look under the bike).  The upper fairing is cracked along the mirror (this is the worst of the damage).

This bike has new:
tires, brakes, chain, oil, and plugs. I am including all the parts I have for it with the sale.

This bike runs and looks good. Even though it is approaching 30 years old it is still a force to be reckoned with! I did not do a complete restore. If you want a cherry bike it will require more work.

This bike is currently in Northern New Jersey. Motorcycle is sold as is where is. A non-refundable deposit is due at close of auction and the full payment must be made in cash within 7 days of close of auction.

Goodbye Hyperbike: Suzuki Ends Hayabusa Production

Thu, 27 Dec 2018

The legendary beast goes down in history after twenty years of dominating the highways, dragstrips and the earth's surface in general. The hyperbike is being discontinued due to non-compliance with the Euro-4 environmental standard, but its story does not end there. The company is clearly preparing its successor, as indicated by the renewal of the Hayabusa trademarks.

Former World Champion Franco Uncini Named Grand Prix Safety Officer

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

The International Motorcycling Federation has named Franco Uncini the FIM Grand Prix Safety Officer and circuit inspector. The 1982 500cc Grand Prix World Champion (pictured on the left above) takes over for the retired Claude Danis (right in the photo) to oversee safety in MotoGP. The now 58-year-old Uncini won the 1982 World Championship for Roberto Gallina‘s factory-backed Suzuki.
