Suzuki GSX-R description

1988 GSXR Slingshot "J" bike. The bike starts and runs well. Has a V&H pipe and jet kit. Has newer tires. Has an oil leak that I was told was a simple shift shaft seal but I have not investigated. It also has had some amateur paint work on some of the panels. This bike came from Maine. Maine does not issue titles for vehicles this old, however I have two previous registrations from the last owner. This is a 25 year old sport bike. There may be a few things I missed on inspection. I believe the J model Slingshot was a two year only bike, making this one of the more rare GSXRs.

2013 Suzuki Hayabusa ABS Recall Expands to US

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

Suzuki Motor of America has recalled the 2013 Hayabusa because of a problem with its anti-lock brake system. A Hayabusa recall was previously announced for the Canadian market, and it was no surprise a similar recall was announced for the U.S., as the issue traces back to a single part supplier, affecting several models from multiple manufacturers. The Suzuki Hayabusa is just one of several models from multiple manufacturers affected by a manufacturing error by ABS part supplier Nissin.

2013 AMA Supercross Atlanta Race Report

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

James Stewart captured his first AMA Supercross win in nearly a year, leading every lap in front of 68,987 fans at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta in his most consistent main event showing so far this season. The Yoshimura Suzuki racer was dominant in Atlanta, posting the fastest qualifying times and taking the holeshot to lead his eight-lap heat race before doing it again in the 20-lap main event. Stewart’s previous win was March 10, 2012, at Daytona International Speedway.

2014 AMA Supercross – St. Louis Results

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

Don’t look now, but James Stewart is the hottest rider in the AMA Supercross Championship. The Yoshimura Suzuki rider won his third consecutive race and series-leading fifth victory of the season. But with Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto holding a comfortable lead with four rounds remaining, Stewart’s hot streak may be too little too late.
