Suzuki GSX / Katana description

Up for sale this time is a 2002 Suzuki Katana 600. This bike has some cosmetic issues as you can see, and also has a slight bend to the forks. They might be able to be straitened, or you can get a new pair here on ebay for cheap. This would make someone a great project for a stunt bike, commuter, or even turned into a cafe racer. The possibilities are endless. With such a cheap purchase price, you can do whatever you like to this bike. It runs well, and I can drive it around the driveway without issue. Rear suspension, all brakes, acceleration is all good. Ready for her new owner to make her into something nice. Check out all the pictures, and if you have any questions, you can call me, text me, or we can skype or facebook video so you can see the bike up close. I'm happy to help you in any way I can, including arranging delivery of the bike. This bike comes with a TN salvage certificate, so please check with your state about how to register the bike. US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.

Cresent Suzuki Team Entering WSBK; Several Other Shoes Still to Drop

Fri, 21 Oct 2011

British Superbike racing team Crescent Suzuki announced it will enter the World Superbike Championship next year, but Suzuki racing fans are perhaps left with even more questions about the 2012 racing season. Crescent Suzuki will enter two riders on GSX-R1000 superbikes next season, but the team has not named its riders or described the level of support it will receive from Suzuki. This season, Crescent Suzuki fielded John Hopkins and Jon Kirkham with Hopkins falling short of winning the championship thanks to a photo finish on the season’s final race.
