So the year is 1982, your sitting in the lunchroom dreaming about owning this one of a kind bike.. poof it's 2016 and now your about to bid on it on ebay. Don't miss the dream you had as a kid. Now is your chance to add this rare bike to your collection. A 1000 cc version of the new GSX1000S was made to homologated the model for racing purposes. By decreasing the bore by 2,6 mm the cylinder displacement was decreased to 998 cc, just below the one-liter mark. The GSX1000SD was available in shops already in 1981. The UK 1000SZ, built for racing, had slide carburetors, whereas the 1100's had CV carbs. The US 1000S, however, had CV carbs! Also, the US versions never had the black ”fins”under the nose fairing - the mounting holes were blanked-off on all US bikes. Team Hammer Releases Martin Cardenas
Fri, 04 Jan 2013AMA Pro Racing’s Team Hammer has released Martin Cardenas from his contract to allow the reigning AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion “to better pursue his goal of returning to World Championship competition as soon as possible.” Though the eventual goal appears to be for Cardenas to move up to the World Superbike Championship, rumors have Cardenas landing with the Yoshimura Suzuki factory team to race in the AMA Superbike Championship in 2013 as an eventual stepping stone towards international racing. Cardenas won the 2010 and 2012 AMA Daytona Sportbike championships with Team Hammer riding a Suzuki GSX-R600. Team Hammer held a contract option for Cardenas for the 2013 season but decided to release the Colombian racer, allowing him to take a different route towards a WSBK career.

Mon, 29 Apr 2013Monster Energy Kawasaki racer Ryan Villopoto demonstrated once again he is a the top of his sport, clinching his third-consecutive AMA Supercross championship. Villopoto cemented his title with a win in front of 43,149 fans at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, his ninth main event victory of the season and 33rd in his career. Though he led every lap, Villopoto didn’t have as easy a time in Salt Lake City as he has had in some races this season.

The FZ-07 has since morphed into the MT-07 amidst a host of well thought-out upgrades in 2018, and then again for 2021. The Z650 got a modern instrument pod in 2020 with a few other tasteful refinements, and the SV650 hasn’t changed a bit (God bless it).
