Suzuki GS description
Up for sale here we have a very nice Suzuki GS500F Sport Bike. Great for the beginner rider or experienced one. Unmolested except for someone cut off the rear fender to make it look different (see pics).
This bike only has 1314 miles on it! Barely broken in.
Sat in storage for 6 years because the owner had a baby and no longer rode. I purchased the bike in November of last year with basically a tank full of varnish and needing a complete once over. Finally got around to doing it close to the end of the riding season but well worth the money invested. Still a few good months in this area to ride! Just spent $1500 in parts and labor and had "Diesel Dave" at Motorcycle Riders Co in Gambrills, MD get it running like new. Pictures taken before I have had a chance to do a thorough cleanup on it so expect it to be cleaner when you pick it up.
- Tank flushed and cleaned
- Both carbs rebuilt and set to factory specs
- New Tru-GEL battery
- New lock sets (1 Key)
- New Clutch lever
- Chain adjusted, lubed and cleaned
- All Fluids replaced and new filters
- New Mirrors
- Much More!
Clear title ready to transfer into your name.
For the Buy it now price, if you are a Maryland resident; I will have the bike MD inspected at my expense so you don't have to worry about it. I have no concerns whatsoever that this bike is in perfect condition. I have been told by two local bike shops that it would retail around $3500-$4000 due to the extremely low mileage and condition. I have fairly priced the bike with a Buy It Now that is less than NADA's $2500 valuation but remember that NADA accounts for an average of 5000 miles per year so this bike has roughly 38K less miles than the average bike out there of the same model and year. You are basically getting a bike that sold for around $5000 new for more than half off and has barely been used.
I do charge a $99.00 administrative fee on Motorcycle sales on top of the final sale price to cover my listing and other expenses related to selling vehicles. Please remember this when choosing Buy It Now or bidding.
$200 Non-refundable deposit with Buy It Now or winning bid. No refunds or exchanges. Please see my feedback. I buy and sell lots of high dollar merchandise and do not play games. Do not bid if you cannot pay or your spouse hasn't been consulted or some other stupid reason you can't complete the transaction. It costs money to use eBay so please be considerate.
I work with several shipping companies and can assist with loading the bike for transport to you, however all shipping costs are at the buyers expense.
If you are local and would like to test drive the bike, please contact me at 301.633.8116 to schedule a time convenient for both of us. It is not tagged or insured but you can run around my neighborhood if you arrive with cash in hand. You damage it, you bought it.
I try to be as honest as I can and fair in all of my listings. Good luck and I look forward to meeting the winning bidder. It is a great bike in near new condition except for a few scratches and blemishes pictured from being in a storage bin this long.
Thanks!

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
