Suzuki GS description
Listing this bike for a friend. He is building a cafe racer and no longer has any use for this bike. The title is in his name. He also has the bike listed locally, so this auction may end early if it sells there. The bike is very clean and has 12785 original miles. It runs good & fires right up. Have had the bike for a few years and we have put somewhere around 1000 miles on it. Recent service includes: rebuilt the carbs, new petcock, new air filter & valve adjustment. Have done some upgrades over the last few years: Dyna S electronic ignition ElectroSport stator and regulator/rectifier AGM battery NGK spark plug and caps The bike currently has the “correct” handle bars & mirrors. Had different handle bars & mirrors on the bike a few years ago. They are shown in the last two pics. Some people prefer the modified riding position. The other handle bars & mirrors are included in the sale if the buyer wants them. Please be mindful of the fact that the bike is around 34 years old & does not have any warranty. Shipping costs and shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. $200 deposit via PayPal. Please contact me prior to bidding if you are interested paying the balance via PayPal. |

Is This the New Suzuki V-Strom 650?
Wed, 01 Jun 2011Suzuki has released a teaser for a new mid-sized adventure bike, likely an updated V-Strom. The teaser campaign, which can be seen at Suzuki’s official website, shows the image above, along with the words: “Time For Real Adventures” and “Middle-Class New Motorcycle”. These hints suggest the new model will be an updated V-Strom 650, likely using an engine similar to the one powering the Suzuki Gladius SFV650.
Pedrosa: most wins, least successful
Wed, 11 May 2011Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.
Laguna Seca Superbike race: 1979
Tue, 09 Nov 2010Got to apologise for the mogadon-inspired soundtrack but this 1979 Kawasaki promo vid' is worth watching just for the footage of Freddie Spencer and Wes Cooley. Watch the slo-mo of Cooley's GS1000 Suzuki on the brakes. It's horrendous.
