Suzuki GS description

Selling a Blue 1981 SUZUKI GS 1100 E GS1100. With only 22,244 miles the machine runs perfect and everything works. This body style 1100 was only produced for 2 years 1980-81 so you don’t seem many of them around. Please read the entire ad before bidding.

I am listing this Motorcycle for a friend. If you are a serious buyer and have any questions you can reach Scott at (978) 866-4585 and please leave a message if he does not pick up. This bike is being sold with a Maine registration and an open bill of sale from the previous owner. I can not provide a notarized bill of sale for the bike. Maine is a non title state, meaning they don’t issue titles on vehicles 15 years or older.

ENGINE: The bike runs great. I bought the bike in excellent running condition and I haven’t had to do anything to it. The bike has a Yoshimura 4 into 1 racing exhaust on it and it sounds and looks great. The pipe says for racing use only which I thought was pretty cool, I had not seen one installed on an older bike like this before. The bike is NOT too loud and sounds really nice. The bike still has the stock air box on it and does come with the stock exhaust which is in excellent condition. The center stand and engine guards are also included.

BODY: This bike is in great shape. The paint shines but there are scratches here and there like you would find on most bikes of this age. The gas tank has some paint peeling on the right side; this was caused by a leaky master cylinder which has been replaced. The inside of the gas tank is perfect. The right side cover is off of a 750, the colors are the same but the pinstripe pattern is different, I added the 1100 emblem to the cover and no one notices. The seats in great shape and comes with a backrest / luggage rack if you want to put it on. The motor, shocks, swingarm are all in excellent condition and are very clean.   Please inspect all pictures for condition. I added plenty of pictures that show everything.

CHASSIS: The bike rides very nice. Tires were replaced recently. The suspension and brakes are in perfect working order. New front brake master cylinder and new front fork seals. The bike has an aftermarket front fork brace, a nice option and makes a big difference. The bike also comes with an extra set of brake pads.

I think I have gone through everything. Don’t miss out. Examine all pictures and ask any questions before bidding. The bike is 32 years old if you are reading this I am sure that you are familiar with these old bikes.

The bike is SOLD AS IS no warranty.

If you have negative or zero feedback you must email me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. I have been burnt by new ebayers too many times in the past. Email me to show you are serious.

This Bike must be picked up from Lowell MA 01851. I would like it picked up within 2 weeks. I have no problems with meeting a shipper but the buyer must set that up. NO PAYPAL accepted. If shipping the bike you can send a check and the bike can be picked up after payment has cleared. Or payment can be made in cash upon pickup.

2024 Suzuki GSX-8R Review – First Ride

Tue, 14 May 2024

A middleweight sporty-bike without the backache Photos: Kevin Wing As I write this, in the year 2024, it’s dawned on me that there’s a whole generation of adults that have little to no memory of September 11, 2001. Some weren’t even alive yet, and those who were were too young to remember. One of, if not the, defining moment for my generation is just a page in a history book for today’s young adults, just as December 7, 1941 was for me.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.
