1981 Suzuki GS 1100 w/GSXR 1100 Engine. Chassis: Stock 1981 GS 1100 frame. 1988 GSXR 750 Front End Beefy powder coated triple clamps, new bearings and seals. Completely rebuilt, all tuning adjustments work as designed. Lower legs and brace powdercoated. Lowering strap installed, doesn't affect steering. Adjustable steering damper. Stock 1981 GS 1100 bodywork painted Brilliant Amber Firemist w/no broken tabs. Stock steel seat pan restored, refoamed and recovered w/saddleman cover. Tastefully sculpted for ergonomics. Functioning lights. Head, Tail, Hi, Low and stop.(wired on relay). Big "beacon" 1983 GS1100 Headlight w/powder coated bucket and new bezel. Blinkers mounted and wired. Switch pod gutted (have parts) to facilitate easier actuation of horn button activated air shifter. + 4 " extended stock aluminum swingarm. Shock mounts moved forward 4" to keep proper geometry. Custom Works Performance shocks made specifically for this bike. ($)! Custom diamond plate chain guard w/lightening holes. Rearset/lowered foot pegs fabbed to stock brackets. Performance Machine "Chicane" fat 17" Wheels powder coated and new bearings. Shinko 003 120/60 - 17 front tire. Shinko 003 180/50 - 17 Rear tire. EK 530 DR chain, steel front sprocket. Aluminum rear sprocket w/round holes to match chain guard. Air shifter lever and rear set foot shift lever. Nissin 4 piston front caliper w/large GSXR floating rotor. GSXR floating rear caliper. New Pingel dual outlet petcock. Custom fabricated aluminum and steel engine mounts coated black. Engine pushed forward as much as possible. Electronics: Koso gauge panel tastefully mounted. Tachometer, shift light and replay activated. Dyna 2000 programmable ignition. Dyna Grey 2.2 ohm coils w/Dyna DW 800 suppression cables. Horn button activated air shifter. On Board air compressor tastefully mounted in stock tail section. PMR master cylinder mounted tether kill w/switch for air compressor activation. Alternator connected and functioning. Engine: 1991 style GSXR 1100/1127. Bored to 1216cc. Lazer Level 7 ported head. New Stainless Steel 1mm oversize valves. New valve springs and seals. Competition multi angle valve job. New intake manifolds. Stock cams, degree timed. Billet cam chain tensioner. Carillo Rods. Undercut Street/Strip Transmission. Stock cable actuated diaphragm clutch w/extra spring. (new cable). Deep oil pan. Mikuni RS36 Carbs w/billet quick turn throttle and new cable. Jetted perfectly to my atmospheric conditions. 4 brand new K&N air filters. Vance & Hines pipe, Airborne coated header w/chrome collector. Baffle. Extremely comfortable bike that goes fast and straight. Handles crisp (not too long). Gentle street manners unless "Beast Mode" activated. Best w/me on it (6' 200lbs.) = 9.61 @ 142.95 MPH 1/4 mile Launching @ 3,500 & shifting @ 10,800 RPM. Mon, 15 Jul 2013Kevin Schwantz, the 1993 500cc World Grand Prix Champion, rode his iconic #34 Lucky Strike Suzuki RGV500 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend. Celebrating its 20 year, FoS, the world’s largest motoring garden party, held in West Sussex, U.K., brings together present and past dignitaries of both motorcycle and auto racing. The three-day event attracted upwards of 150,000 spectators this year.
Provisional 2012 World Superbike Championship Entry List Released
Wed, 18 Jan 2012The International Motorcycling Federation has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 World Superbike Championship. The preliminary list includes 24 entries representing six manufacturers: Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki. Noticeably absent is Yamaha which announced last summer it would pull out of WSBK racing.
2014 AMA Supercross – Houston Results
Tue, 08 Apr 2014Ryan Villopoto ran mostly unchallenged for his fourth win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, taking advantage of an early spill by Ryan Dungey. The win strengthens Villopoto’s hold on the points lead as the Kawasaki rider seeks his fourth-consecutive championship. Villopoto took the holeshot in the Houston main event and never looked back, leading all 20 laps for the win.
