Suzuki GS description

Up for auction with no reserve is my 1980 Suzuki GS1100GK. It has 27xxx miles on it. I bought this hoping I could fix it up but I dont have the skills to do so. The bike was painted a chameleon color by a previous owner and it still looks good. The front fender, headlight bucket, gas tank, side covers (im missing the the left cover), side panels and rear fender were all painted to match. The bike does not have turn signals but all the electronics work minus the horn. It has a 4 into 1 exhaust. It also has lowering blocks on the shocks as well. Seat has been recovered but it has no tears in it and looks great along with it locking up like it should. I have the title in hand and I have 1 key for the bike. The bike is being sold as is with no warranty expressed, implied or given. The bike is being sold locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if the bike sells locally. Any questions please feel free to ask. If youre in the Chicago area and you would like to see the bike please let me know. The bike is being sold with NO RESERVE

Pros
Clean title
Tires still hold air
Lights and electronics all work (minus horn)
Seat has no tears
Custom paint job front to back (chameleon)
Key works in ignition, gas tank and seat lock
Motor fires up and is not locked up
Tank is clean inside

Cons
4 of the 8 exhaust studs are broken in the motor
1 exhaust collar is broken (exhaust is good otherwise)
Rear taillight is broken
Horn not working
Brakes need to be bled or rebuilt
Right side cover is missing
Petcock is broken and will need to be replaced
Gauge cluster is weathered

The exhaust was put on the bike to show what it would like set up

Carbs and airbox were removed as i was starting to clean the carbs but i stopped when i realized i couldnt fix the motor and exhaust

The bike is far from perfect but its all there and if you know how to fix the exhaust studs and the exhaust collar you can have a nice bike for sure. Im working on getting a video put up to show the bike on and firing up with stating fluid,

Once again this bike is being sold locally and i reserve the right to end the auction early. NO RESERVE!!!

Any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking and happy bidding

2014 AMA Supercross – Indianapolis Results

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Ryan Dungey captured his first win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season in a wild main event that saw two of the top title contenders crashing on the starting straight at Indianapolis‘ Lucas Oil Stadium. Smartop MotoConcepts Suzuki rider Mike Alessi took the holeshot for the second race in a row, but the big news was incoming points leader Ryan Villopoto and Ken Roczen going down before the first turn. Roczen trailed Villopoto by nine points going into the Indianapolis round, but the KTM rookie’s hopes of overtaking the reigning champion took a blow when he went down on the straight, knocking Villopoto off in the process.

Readers' Rides: 1997 Suzuki Savage Cafe Racer

Mon, 06 Apr 2020

Gary Corde tells us about his eye-catching 1997 Suzuki Savage cafe racer: I’m happy to brag about my cafe racer. This bike started out life as a ’97 Suzuki Savage. The bike was an unloved and rusted basket case that I purchased to repurpose into a useful motorcycle.
