This listing is for a 1979 Suzuki GS 1000 S Wes Cooley replica motorcycle. These bikes have become extremely rare and hard to find. S models were only produced for 2 years having a very low production of roughly 600 each year.

This bike is a project bike. IT DOES NOT RUN AT PRESENT TIME! I purchased this bike several years ago with intentions of restoring. It has always been stored in heated garage with gas tank empty.

Bike was repainted prior to my purchase to mimic the Red European version. Overall paint job is good 7/10. Bike has approx. 9000 miles on speedometer and I believe to be correct. Bike is complete with the exceptions of missing mirrors and turn signals. Header and Air pods have been added at some point. Tank is VERY clean and NO dents. Front fender has a couple creases. Rear tire is Great and front tire has good tread with cracking. I believe there are issues with the Electrical system. Put a battery in and red and green light comes on by ignition, but nothing up front works. If you hit the rear brakes the rear light comes on. I was told upon my purchase that the bike did run at the point prior to paint job. My best guess is something was screwed up reconnecting the front wiring. That is about all I know for certain.

This would make a great rare bike for someone who not afraid of a challenge. I have owned several Wes Cooleys of various conditions in the past and know very well their value's. I am asking what I believe to be a fair market value price. I am willing to listen to reasonable offers!! PLEASE don't waste my time with ridiculous low ball offers. 27-year-old Humayun Kobir is recovering in a Toronto hospital after receiving a serious laceration to his neck after riding into a line of wire strung across an intersection. According to local reports, Kobir felt a sharp pain in his neck after riding through an intersection on his Suzuki GSX-R on Aug. 27, his 27th birthday.

While Schwantz wore RS Taichi gear during several of his memorable seasons in the 500cc class, his partnership and success with Taichi apparel all started with his victory at the 1988 Daytona 200. Suzuki’s GSX-R600 might not look that much different to the outgoing model but I suspect this bike could be very much a dark horse in 2011. I say this because two years ago I was definitely not building my hopes up en route to the K9 GSXR 1000 launch. The leaked pictures suggested the biggest change from the 2007 version would be some fresh graphics but I was so wrong. As it turned out, I was greeted in Almeria with a brand new bike, built from the tarmac up and it proved to be more than a match in every department for the much hyped 2009 Yamaha R1.
