2011 Suzuki Boulevard C50T, 2011 Suzuki Boulevard , This is my C50T and comes with Mustang seat, handle bar risers, custom hard case saddle bags with touring trunk to match, all weatherproof and lockable. About 1000 miles on new metzellers front and rear, highway bars and pegs, all original equipment included including stock saddle bags. Cramp buster throttle device and throttle lock installed. Oil changed about 50 miles ago to include engine and rear final drive shaft oil. Washed and polished regularly never been down. Great starter bike. Even looking at the figures optimistically we're still only selling half the volumes we were in pre-crash 2006.
45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
Suzuki to Relocate R&D Facility to Lower Tsunami Risk Area
Thu, 07 Jul 2011Suzuki is considering moving its motorcycle research facility from its current coastal location to its main factory in Hamamatsu, Japan, to decrease the risk of damage from future tsunamis. According to a report in the Nikkei business daily, Suzuki is acquiring more land in Hamamatsu to house the research center and other facilities. Suzuki CEO Osamu Suzuki first brought up the idea to relocate some of its higher risk coastal properties during its 2011-2012 fiscal year forecast report.
