It combines classic cruiser styling with renowned Suzuki V-twin power in such a striking way that it establishes a new standard for the class- and completes the Suzuki Boulevard line of cruisers. The key to the C109R's performance is its 109-cubic-inch engine with Suzuki fuel injection- the same basic powerplant used by the awesome M109R, which traces its technological heritage to Suzuki's championship winning GSX-R supersport bikes. Why? ‘Cos my own courier’s favourite Diversion 900 may be heavy and utterly unexciting, but it is also a comfortable and trusty commuter ride that suits the Smoke very nicely, thanks.
Eugene Laverty Signs with Suzuki for 2014 WSBK Season
Tue, 12 Nov 2013World Superbike Championship runner-up Eugene Laverty has signed a deal with the Crescent Suzuki team to race in the 2014 season. Laverty finished second to Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes this season, with nine wins and 19 total podium finishes for the Aprilia factory team riding the RSV4. Next season, Laverty will switch to the Yoshimura-powered Suzuki GSX-R1000.
2013 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Report
Mon, 22 Jul 2013The 22nd edition of the annual LA Calendar Motorcycle Show marked its return to the Queen Mary Seawalk Village in Long Beach, California with hometown boy Sam Baldi taking the Bike Building Championship’s Best of Show trophy with a Jimmy Todorovith/Profile Cycles built Big Twin custom named “Lost Angel.” This year’s Calendar Show showcased not only top builders but selected vendors and exhibitors, and of course the Calendar Girl Music live performances. And as always, this year’s show celebrated the world premiere of the 2014 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars, featuring the world’s top SBK World Superbikes, sport and cafe bikes, and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens. On hand throughout the day to meet with fans and pose for pictures were Calendar Kittens Apple Price, together with official SBK World Superbike grid girls Jessica Harbour and singer/songwriter Sarah Horvath.
