2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50, The Boulevard C50 is a cruiser style motorcycle and is outfitted from the factory to carry a passenger. While most components were carried over from the Volusia line, the Boulevard series utilizes fuel injection instead of a carburetor. The engine is a liquid cooled 50-cubic-inch (805cc) engine in a 45-degree V-Twin configuration. The 5-speed transmission transfers power to the rear wheel via a shaft drive. Overall, the C50 measures 98.4 inches in length with 27.6 inch seat height. Other standard features include a 4.1 US Gallon fuel tank, front-disc/rear-drum brakes, and driver floorboards. Hopkins Signs with Crescent Suzuki WSBK Team

American John Hopkins has re-signed with U.K.-based Crescent Suzuki to compete in the 2012 World Superbike Championship. Hopkins raced with Crescent Suzuki this season in the British Superbike Championship, posting an impressive 16 podium appearances including five wins to finish second in the series. His BSB success earned Hopkins wildcard rides in WSBK and MotoGP.

There was a time when Grand Prix racing was a lucrative affair, with the bikes and their riders resembling the fag packets that sponsored them. However, two unfortunate and costly blows hit the paddock; the banning of tobacco advertising in 2005 followed by the global economic crisis. The off-shoot saw grid numbers drastically dwindle with staple teams, like Kenny Roberts' outfit, and manufacturers, Kawasaki and Suzuki, succumbing to the events and disappearing.
