I’ve been a Suzuki Bandit enthusiast for many years and have owned all three generations of the Bandit. I am the second owner of this Bandit. I purchased it from the original owner in Maine in the summer of 2009 and rode it home to Maryland. This was an amazing bike to begin with. I’ve spent the last few years making it perfect. I customized it with very best aftermarket upgrades, some of which are extremely hard to find, or are altogether unavailable in the U.S. It is factory equipped with anti-lock brakes, which I further enhanced with stainless steel brake lines and sintered HH pads. I upgraded the suspension with a fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock and had the front forks rebuilt with Race Tech springs and Penske valves. I also added a fork brace for even greater front end stability. Engine performance was maximized with a Scorpion exhaust, custom mapped electronic jet kit, open airbox with K&N filter, secondary butterfly removal and a timing retard eliminator.
This bike is ideal for responsible, safety-conscious riders who still love to cut loose and enjoy some aggressive riding. It should appeal to those looking for a good all-around do-anything bike that can be used for touring, commuting, joyriding, and even occasional track days. It’s equally capable of solo and two-up riding, and the remotely adjustable suspension makes for a simple transition between the two. It should also be popular with those who appreciate the “naked,” fairingless look and want a reliable bike that is easy to service and maintain. The Bandit has long been one of the most underrated bikes on the market, but when properly tuned and equipped it can blow the competition away.

Yoshimura Suzuki USA Signs Blake Baggett
Fri, 03 Oct 2014From a Suzuki press release: Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing has signed former AMA Pro 250 Motocross Champion Blake Baggett to the team today during the 2015 Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) Dealer Meeting at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Baggett will join Yoshimura Suzukis James Stewart in the premier class for the 2015 AMA Pro Supercross and Motocross seasons, but his first race on the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 will be Las Vegas Monster Energy Cup later this month.

Suzuki to Close Spanish Motorcycle Factory
Tue, 06 Nov 2012The digital ink is still wet on news of American Suzuki declaring bankruptcy and shutting down its car business to focus on powersports and marine products, and now there’s more bad news for the Japanese manufacturer. Suzuki announced it will close its motorcycle factory in Gijn, Spain, in March, 2013, shutting the company’s sole European production plant. The factory has been producing motorcycles and scooters for Suzuki since 1984, with the manufacturer taking 100% ownership of the factory.
